Conviction and punishment for adultery/fornication in Islam.

Um, I'm talking about Islam. Not all people are Muslims and not all communities are Muslims. I thought that was so obvious. Non Muslims have their laws and I can't judge them for practicing their own stuff in their own places. From where did you get such understanding and impression? You know...

Conviction and punishment for adultery/fornication in Islam.

Let's just say that everything you said isn't really helping or addressing the crises I mentioned. The crises I mentioned are still there and your points don't change that. Which is more important, absolute freedom causing the crises I mentioned, or a moderated freedom to get rid of those...

Conviction and punishment for adultery/fornication in Islam.

Come on man, don't say that. Bless your parents. Please don't talk about them like that. Besides, I have no right to judge your parents, and Islam doesn't too. It's quiet obvious due to several reasons, if you ask me, and I believe you know that too.

Conviction and punishment for adultery/fornication in Islam.

Those are good points, but we're talking about adultery/fornication here, and those are decided by the law. All there is to it is that there are laws to follow, and different places have different laws. I'm afraid there is no such total freedom. All countries have laws and no one is perfectly...

Conviction and punishment for adultery/fornication in Islam.

Or simply one can just follow simple laws to not bring such punishment upon themselves. It is not like sex is forbidden in itself in the first place. I don't see why people want to go on a sex spree instead of getting married and have a devoted good relationship.

Conviction and punishment for adultery/fornication in Islam.

I believe adultery/fornication caused, is causing and will keep causing harm to society. Wouldn't that make society have full business in it as it is the concerned victim? I'm under the impression that because of it thru out history and now many children are experiencing living hell (like...

Conviction and punishment for adultery/fornication in Islam.

Very well put. Islam actually does it as in intent to protect community, namely dignity, children, inheritance and legacies. There is so much to say about that, but this is not the right place for it and should be left for another place and time. It is not really there just to oppress people...

Conviction and punishment for adultery/fornication in Islam.

Yeah, and I believe they got superseded/abrogated later on. Other than what I believe that stoning is not valid anymore in Islam, Prophet Muhammad also did order people to never use fire in punishment as he said "no one tortures with fire except the God of fire". He actually said it to stop...

Conviction and punishment for adultery/fornication in Islam.

If it does not really forbid them, does that mean that in Buddhism they are allowed in the default position?

Conviction and punishment for adultery/fornication in Islam.

Hello guys. Note: Please remember that this is not a debate section. You're welcome to ask question and make respectful remarks (and everything else within the rules), however. Please also stay on topic as much as possible. I'd like to speak of, discuss and share five points about convicting...

    What creates terrorists?

Well, that's "most" religious versus "all" humans. I guess it is clear what makes terrorists here, or at least what "more" makes terrorists.

    God is cruel

This is similar to telling your gay friend that you think homosexuality is ridiculous, your trans friend that gender/sex alteration contradicts with nature and logic, atheist friend that atheism is immoral, female friend that males are better, etc. Now regardless to being true or false, an...

A woman without her man is nothing.

Yes, we do actually have a saying here that goes "behind every great man, a great woman". "Behind" as in behind his success and similar stuff, not behind his back :D

A woman without her man is nothing.

No no, I mean to exist in the first place so we could logically have any worth at all :D Take me for example, I would never have existed if not for my parents. Let's imagine I would have, then I wouldn't if not for my grand parents. Let's imagine not again, then it's the great grandparents and...

A woman without her man is nothing.

Those are always social stuff? Hmm.. they could be. I didn't really mean men and women forcing themselves over each other, I mean it in what I see of the nature of life. Sorry if I gave the wrong impression in this. I don't disagree with you then. You're bringing a good point.

A woman without her man is nothing.

@Kirran On more thing... as least there is involvement of both men and women for every single human being you know of, please don't deny. You're forgetting about grand parent and ancestors ;)

A woman without her man is nothing.

Those are rare special cases and cannot be taken as a norm. Dunno why for some reason people sometimes depend on the exceptions and neglect the norms. But I'm on your side in this. Those special cases deserve love and care just like the normal cases.

A woman without her man is nothing.

Nuh-uh-ah! You're confusing things here. I didn't mention social stuff. Crazy readers could get negative implications about me like that, you know ;)

A woman without her man is nothing.

Agreed. I'd say all of them tho because at least no one is worth anything if not for their parents (a man and a woman) simply for not existing in the first place.

A woman without her man is nothing.

Depends on how one sees it. I personally see it educational and moral ;)
