I date whoever I am attracted to, religious or not religious. Of course I would love to date someone with the same beliefs as me, definitely helps in the long run.
Besides, I live somewhere mostly populated by religious people. If I find someone with my beliefs, it's a miracle! XD
You never seemed to stop believing in God, you just couldn't find the right religion for you. so saying "I want to believe in god again." seems a bit weird.
I remember there was a video where Markiplier was talking about Hell. He said something along the lines of "and you'll never see your family again and you'll burn in a eternal suffering" then he made a weird look to the camera. I thought it was hilarious and I was curious as to what video it was...

Just being a nice person is good enough. You may feel like you have nothing to offer to this world, but that isn't true. Helping people out anyway you can and being the light in other people's worlds is already giving meaning. :D
