    The Baptist ?

Ok, I'll come back to the Baptist. So why did Jesus feel the need to be baptised, if he was sinless? And then who baptised John? (1) Who said? (2) How do you know this? The bible doesn’t claim what you have claimed at 1&2 above either does it, Pegg?

    The Baptist ?

Well you see, I have problem with this because John was of immaculate conception. not of ADAM. And Jesus must have trusted john to baptise him because the gospels tell us John baptised jesus the so called son of god? And what is more we should apply the same question about jesus , he was the...

    Prove me wrong

You have this the wrong way about, in my opinion. It is you who has made the extraordinary claim. It is with you that the burden of proof lays. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof to back them up, which you simply do not have. That is why ALL religion is FAITH based. Nice try...

    The Baptist ?

Why that is after reading that John the Baptist’s parents were said to be “blameless” and seemingly from good stock, why is that John believed he was in need of baptism? He was after all the son of a priest, and he was the immaculately conceived messenger of god?

If a God exists, and claimed to be good, and moral, would his claim necessarily be true?

In the real here and now they would be anyone of these President Obama - U.S.A. Xi Jinping - China. Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin - Russia. In other words, the one with the biggest stick is "the all powerful".

    The Monopoly of Religious Believers

Indeed it isn't. Yiddish is a fairly modern language, spoken by European Jews (c 9th century) than the Hebrew language of antiquity. Goy is a Hebrew word used as a disparaging term for one who is not a Jew. Goy-im (plural) was also a term used towards Jews (European Jews) who were ignorant of...

    The Monopoly of Religious Believers

That is an excellent point. I believe for instance that, the bible (particularly the Old Testament) is a brilliant book of early human history. The New Testament is also a decent book, but it has no doubt been redacted, expunged and doctored to appeal to certain audiences thereby, completely...

Do Christians believe the Second Coming of Christ is imminent?

You mentioned "time" and not caring about it. The title of this thread is a question : The second coming is about Time. The second coming is supposed to happen in times future, the way we led to understand it. It's not a big issue. So let’s not make it one.:)

Do Christians believe the Second Coming of Christ is imminent?

Is it not part of the belief of christians that The Christ will return. That is part of christian dogma i.e. a fundamental part of christianity's foundation. As is the resurrection.

If a God exists, and claimed to be good, and moral, would his claim necessarily be true?

Did a God ever claim to be good and moral ? I know of one that claims to jealous and vengeful and who is forever woe-ing towards humans. Examples on request. :)

    The Monopoly of Religious Believers

I am sure a theist will give you an argument there. You see, whether or not I have a god I will still go to the flames if; (1) I do not do his bidding. (2) I do not believe in him. (3) I believe in him but can't stand what an hypocritical tyrannical driven psychopath he really is.
