Why the bible may NOT the Inspired Word of God

This is exactly what's wrong with people like you... you are fine with anyone, presuming yourself included and your own family too... going to hell for infinite time for a finite and unavoidable circumstance of life defined as "sin" by christians. Like I said, sadistic, ignorance and above...

    Religion spreads hate & intolerance

It's both combined. Have to have a "human condition" to begin with right? Religion (or world view) for some is an extension I guess you'd say. A person's view of the world (religion, belief system, lack there of.. pick one) is by no means irrelevant just because the human condition exists.

Change that to TRUE "Sprituality"... and it would read much closer to the mark.

    Religion spreads hate & intolerance

Unless a religious person commits an act of wrong with the direct intention of creating suffering. Think 9/11.

Why the bible may NOT the Inspired Word of God

If he knew as you say, then was he not capable of doing any better or was the killing and confusion just collateral damage for not being omnipotent enough to write coherently so everyone would understand what he wants. Either way you are saying God is fallible... which I disagree... it's the...

Why the bible may NOT the Inspired Word of God

Christians certainly see it as a how to in terms of "how to get to heaven"... yes, it's a how-to book... just confusing which is why these arguments have lasted for 2000 years.

Why the bible may NOT the Inspired Word of God

Surely God knew before hand that because of the "written word flaw" many people would fight, argue and kill each other over who was right and who was wrong in defining the word... this is my point... the bible is flawed... not something I would expect to see come from a Creator that managed to...

Why the bible may NOT the Inspired Word of God

If the bible is not absolute, or at the very least, coherent then why are so many christians basing their arguments on this acclaimed "inspired word of God"? Lastly, you must be one of those that base your belief on the contents of the bible, otherwise you wouldn't have felt personally attacked...

Why the bible may NOT the Inspired Word of God

Why the Bible may NOT be the Inspired Word of God... So God creates everything from the universe to the smallest particle currently known to science... space, nature, humans, other beings, animals, organisms... all created with a definite mastery and beauty. After all is said and done...

    Religion spreads hate & intolerance

Yes so true... when I was a practicing christian (whatever that really means) sure I was all about helping others (that I felt were like me based on belief) but there were always a series of groups that I was highly intolerant of... mainly people that other christian friends would condemn in...

    Religion spreads hate & intolerance

Yeah I agree at least from my own experience. It took years for me because of the fear crap. But once I decided that any true loving God wouldn't condemn someone he created because that person just wanted to find a more clear understanding things, I dug in deep... that was 10 years ago. After...

Why do you think certain people don't get this yet?

For those who believe that only Christians go to heaven...

The FIRST problem is believing the crap that there are two groups... one destined for heaven and one destined for hell... if God truly does work that way, we're all doomed. Once a person stops being afraid to ask questions like you're asking, the reality starts to become clearer... a reality...

    What is a spiritual experience?

Convenient because regardless of the belief/religion practiced, people from all walks of life have experiences they deem to be spiritual... since the phenomena is not christian-specific, naturally the explanation given to you is... convenient. Read up on some NDE's and you'll quickly see that...

Is it possible for you to do anything that God did not already know you would do?

Truth is... no one knows with absolute certainty how it all works or why... everything is just theory and speculation coming from the minds of humans no less... room for flawed thinking? Oh yeah.

Is it possible for you to do anything that God did not already know you would do?

You would expect that God knows everything... based on what's taught in most religions... so yes, he must know everything including how many children will die tomorrow of starvation... how many children will be brutalized, enslaved.... how many children will die from lack of medical attention...
