I don't care how much u want to feel sorry for me but i do think "no man is an island of himself in this life." and at some point "truth" does get elusive when it comes to religious issues or faith. We need one another to support each in individual community base and i will rather continue to...
Sorry for the bad print format. I typed the above in several paragraphs to show the pause in the flow of thought but i don't know why it is all congested into one lengthy paragraph. Hope you did get the point though.
Am of a sudanese descend but have been living in the us for almost 20 good yrs. Am glad u brought the issue of the darfur in the forefront of this august forum. You see, the problem in darfur is way overblown out of proportion by the media, western activist group, and anti-sudanese regime group...
fundraising is not easy, it requires alot of publicity campaign and some startup money to get it going. Most important it requires eloquent public speakers to get people move by their words and start donating to the cause their preaching. Good luck my friend. Let me know if you want some...
I agree with your idea but what do you think my friend and relatives would think of me if they see am attending prayer services one month in church and another month in a mosque? Frankly speaking, they will think am insane, won't you think so yourself? I need to make a choice before everyone...
enchant, thanks for cutting and pasting this story here. I have no problem with people facing such predicament, however, I came acrossed gross generalization like this that are supported by stories from the bible, making it compellingly truthful in the absence of causation facts.
I concurred with what you paraphrase above from book of Corinthian and james, but before we dismissed what the other preachers claimed, can we or can you research this claim furthermore. thanks.
You make a convincing point Dave, i hope the mountain am trying to climb ain;t that high cause i sure don't want to spend my whole life climbing one mountain. I need to get there as quick as a possible, start another one, and leave a legacy behind atleast for my future kids or grandkids to...
I think people will think that you are crazy or antisocial if you do so. I think at some point in life it is good to "conform" to one institution, don't ya think so?
Thanks MrDavid for your wise words and advise. I think my problem is being exposed or educated on both religions without any prejudice. i believe it is in this case being "ignorance" or 'prejudice to certain things or information makes the best of us. I couldn't elaborate more but i think it is...
Thanks for the reply. first-off i have watched sermon and lecture of the Sister in your avater. I think she's genius but somewhat passive and bored. As far your advise/or suggestion, I think i will lean towards it for more effectiive decision. thank u for stopping by.
Okay, i agree with u entirely, but tell me, what religious values should teach to my kids in the near future cause am about to tie the knot and have a family. For example, should i name my kids muslim names or christian names in accordance with baptism tradition?
exactly, and that's why i don't repeat what my parent did or literally raising confused kids as far religion is in concerned. Now, my mom believes am a christian because she sent to a catholic school in early years of my life; and, my dad also believes that am a muslim because i have a muslim...
Thanks for the warm welcome, it is kinda cold where i am LOLOn you first message, No, I was not cuting-n-pasting, but rather everything i drafted is congested into one paragraph...
You were correct, i have no problem with either faith, i also know the pros-and-cons in each religion too.The woman i intend to tie the knot with is christian, so i guess from your perspective, then i will better stick with christianity because she is. Thanks for passing by, i will think about...
That's what i thought but some preachers say in the subsequent chapters their life were renarrated, seems like the son later on became a thief or a prophet (some say a king while other says a beggar)...can you research that while am doing so too...In case the Bible didn't say anything about them...
Thanks. unfortunately no man is an island of himself, every man needs the support and respect of his community members to tie his beliefs to God.Does that make sense to you?
