Plain Agnostics - Do you believe in God or not?

I find it a little frustrating when theists and/or atheists apply labels to me that I find inappropriate. They do not know what I believe or disbelieve but they make assumptions based on the label that I choose for myself as most appropriate. I am the one most qualified to choose the most...

Plain Agnostics - Do you believe in God or not?

I can accept that definition of an atheist. But it does not apply to agnostics.

Plain Agnostics - Do you believe in God or not?

Again I disagree. Not accepting is not the same as rejecting. Your idea of a "default position" is something I reject.

Plain Agnostics - Do you believe in God or not?

I believe there is a source for everything that exists in the universe. You could call that source a "god" if you wish. But that does not make me a theist.

Plain Agnostics - Do you believe in God or not?

Wrong. There is no way you could possibly know that.

Plain Agnostics - Do you believe in God or not?

OK then. That is what makes you an atheist and me an agnostic. My worldview allows for the possibility that god(s) exist (depending on the definition).

Plain Agnostics - Do you believe in God or not?

What if I do not accept or reject it?

Plain Agnostics - Do you believe in God or not?

The problem with believing/disbelieving in gods/deities is that there are too many definitions. I do not believe in a god. I do not disbelieve in a god. These are both true statements.

Plain Agnostics - Do you believe in God or not?

Define "deity". I cannot tell you if I believe in something if I do not know what it is I am asked if I believe in.

Plain Agnostics - Do you believe in God or not?

Are you saying I have to "prove" that I am an agnostic if that is the label I choose to wear? How do I do that with someone who does not believe in agnostics?

Plain Agnostics - Do you believe in God or not?

Define "god" and I will tell you if I believe in it.

Plain Agnostics - Do you believe in God or not?

I will decide for myself what label most accurately represents what I believe. What makes atheism the default position anyway?

Plain Agnostics - Do you believe in God or not?

I call myself an agnostic because it seems a more appropriate label for me than theist or atheist. Do I believe in a god? No. Do I disbelieve in a god. No. What would a universe created by a god look like? I suppose it could look like the universe we see. What would a universe that came...
