“The Koran Is Borrowed”: Hitchens claim; refuted.

I quote a chapter from Quran; those who hold that Quran has plagiarized from Bible should quote a passage from OT Bible or NT Bible from where it has been plagiarized, to prove their view point:

[109:1] In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
[109:2] Say, ‘O ye disbelievers!
[109:3] ‘I worship not that which you worship;
[109:4] ‘Nor worship you what I worship.
[109:5] ‘And I am not going to worship that which you worship;
[109:6] ‘Nor will you worship what I worship.
[109:7] ‘For you your religion, and for me my religion.’

I quote three connected verses from Quran; those who hold that Quran has plagiarized from Bible should quote a passage from OT Bible or NT Bible from where it has been plagiarized, to prove their view point:

[2:256] Allah — there is no God but He, the Living, the Self-Subsisting and All-Sustaining. Slumber seizes Him not, nor sleep. To Him belongs whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth. Who is he that will intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them; and they encompass nothing of His knowledge except what He pleases. His knowledge extends over the heavens and the earth; and the care of them burdens Him not; and He is the High, the Great.
[2:257] There should be no compulsion in religion. Surely, right has become distinct from wrong; so whosoever refuses to be led by those who transgress, and believes in Allah, has surely grasped a strong handle which knows no breaking. And Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
[2:258] Allah is the friend of those who believe: He brings them out of every kind of darkness into light. And those who disbelieve, their friends are the transgressors who bring them out of light into every kind of darkness. These are the inmates of the Fire; therein shall they abide.

Quran has done no plagiarizing from Bible or any other ancient scriptures; Hitchens was wrong and did not study Quran deeply, in my opinion.

Actually, due to a translation error the number is actually 625.

If you knew Archaic Arabic you would understand it all clearly. DUH!

I wish I never knew what I do now about this stain on humanity.

make me embarrassed to be a part of Homo Sapiens

Borrowing is factually plagiarizing.

And when you borrow, you do not have to write what you borrowed word for word.

You can change the content of what you borrowed, and it is still plagiarism.

Do you understand this? :facepalm:

Totally wrong.

All revealed religions were truthful in their origin like religions revealed on Zoroaster, Moses, Jesus, Muhammad etc, as they all received revelation from the One-True-God, hence the similarities.
