Indeed not. But I have something in common with them. Equally, @Saint Frankenstein has something in common with Israel but may or may not support particular aspects of Israel.

True, it was not implemented. 181 was adopted and then the attacks began. I don't know what logic has decided to call the events of that 5 month period as a civil war. When the mandate expired, the surrounding nations invaded. The resolution was never implemented. There was a Civil War in the Mandate from 47-48. You may know it as the Palestinian War or opening of the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. The UN recognized Israel when the dust settled.
Third Place — A Critical Examination of Israeli LGBT Advancements: Genuine Progress or Attempts at Elevated Global Status? | The Yale Review of International Studies You might notice that large segments of the governing coalition oppose LGBT rights, and there are little if any transgender rights.
Homophobes? I do believe Tel Aviv has a week long Pride celebration. Israel allows infinitely more personal freedom than any of the Palestinian territories would ever contemplate.Tyrannical, racist, homophobes are running the Israeli government, don't you read the news?? Your idea of Jews seems to be liberal Americans, the Israeli government is much much darker.
I'm talking about the right wing government, not the more left wing populace.

When have I ever excused Palestinian violence? The point was that there is an obvious double-standard.This looks like the kind of post @Landon Caeli was referring to.
There's plenty of blame to spread around here. But Palestinians have launched 1000s of missiles. And they targeted civilians. Israel has also launched 1000s of missiles. And they targeted military operations.
What's incoherent about it?Like I said, there's plenty of blame to spread around. But your post was incoherent, to be charitable about it.
Tom
Have you read any of Landon's earlier posts? And yet here we are in a thread about the targeted killing of Baha Abu al-Ata, Commander of the Al-Quds Brigades of the Islamic Jihad in northern Gaza and the Islamic Jihads response to his untimely demise going on and on about the evil that is Israel and nothing about the topic at hand.
Describing this as anybody's position is dishonest.Boo hoo the Zionists killed a terrorists.
So, because they are progressive in one particular area, that means they can't commit war crimes or commit atrocities against neighbouring nations? If the government was that bad, they would ban the Pride event... Like they do in Palestine.

...You should do some research on Israel. It's nothing like what you say it is.
Wait -- this is your argument?I have a friend in Israel, and believe me the government is bad!!
it is actually a democratic government and some people think that democracy is a fine idea.its a fascist government, and yes that is bad!!
Yes, apparently a lot of things happenedI just got news about Israel airstrike on Gaza today (Palestine) where 22 people killed and 50 people so far injured. mostly civilians killed.
