Honestly, I think we all need some self reflection(in a general sense).

The tendency to label the other 'side' as 'good/bad guy' is really biting us in the butt.

We're all so busy(again, a generalization)shouting at each other no one stops to ask what anyone wants and just pastes everyone into left/right, when I don't think many folks even view it like that.
I'm all for unity and see the other side as "loyal opposition", but that ship has sailed with the Trumpists. I can't debate with people who denounce reality and the basic idea of democracy.

The thing is, not everyone who voted for Trump is a 'Trumpist'. There's some who dislike him, but voted for him for some other reason(usually financial). And I think that's where the struggle lies, is with the quiet people who are holding their nose and voting.

(I voted Harris, just to be clear.)

And, if they aren't super rich, they ignored reality. There is no way Trump will be better for the people financially.

I agree, but there's a lot of people out there that blame Biden for the inflation.

The states Harris will win won’t be by much. States Trump will win is by a bigger margin.

Highly unrealistic, but if that happens, you could get a Harris win of the Presidency while Trump wins the popular vote.

I read an op.ed. piece that said there was some love for Trump because he restored the naval shipyards in PA, which brought back 1000s of jobs. I'm guessing those folks believe Trump is better for them financially.

Harris leaves her crowd hanging… won’t be speaking tonight. I wonder if Trump will address the crowd at his headquarters.

Remember when Hillary left her crowd hanging? This seems like a parallel in my opinion. Not an optimistic look.

Shes up to 189 which in my mind makes it not a landslide He has 246 so he will probably win but there is a path she could win its a long shot bur she still could. So it may take another day or 2 to find out.

Uh, basically everyone was better off financially under Trump. Even I was. People also loved the stimulus money Trump sent to Americans, and he wanted to send more but Biden got in office and ended that. Biden has also allowed tens of millions of Americans to be thrown off Medicaid, as a result of the pandemic protections expiring. They did nothing to prepare for that or even mentioned it. I lost my health insurance over that months ago and still don't have coverage, even after being out of work for months disabled and so on. Dems also let the Affordable Connectivity Program lapse, which was effectively giving free Internet to millions of poor Americans, and now that's completely over.

People are noticing the federal government giving their money to other countries and migrants, while Americans are suffering and going without. We've got billions and billions to throw at Ukraine alone but nothing for the average American. Sure the lockdowns are the cause of much of our economic downturns, but it was the Dems who pushed for them with the most furvor. Trump advocated for things to go back to normal ASAP, as I recall. The point is that people remember when things were better and will seek a return to them. The Biden admin has been a terrible time for most Americans, and Harris is inseparable from it as she's been VP all this time.

It really is 2016 all over again. Rumor is Trump is on his way to speak.

I'm really surprised. Why did Trump win even the popular vote? He's never won the popular vote before.

Is it possible this has been rigged somehow? Could they ask for a recount?

The House and Senate and President are red. The Supreme Court still has those who Trump put in. I wonder what the outcome will be.

"There are serious 2016 echoes in Harris’ 2024 election night

Forgive Democrats if they are having a bit of déjà vu.

There are noticeable similarities between then-Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s election night in 2016 and the one that Harris had planned for tonight at Howard University.

Neither Clinton nor Harris, appeared at their election night party, despite both heading into Election Day believing they were about to defeat Donald Trump.

Both sent top aides to inform the demoralized audience that the woman would not speak. And there were noticeable similarities between what each man said."
(It goes on after that, and is very telling.)
