58 Palestinians killed in Jerusalem protests

Mock Turtle

Oh my, did I say that!

It always amazes me that some are willing to lose their life whilst trying to express their anger - what a waste. Not taking sides on this one.

So you admit they are violent protests.

I just wonder what people would do if 40000 people started raging at their door, threatening their very existence.
I just saw a headline that 53 Palestinians have been killed.
To me, that shows much Israeli restraint.

Quite honestly, I opine that the Israelis made a BIG mistake in believing that leaving Gaza in return for peace would work, as well as allowing the Muslims to have authority on the Temple Mount.

My mum worked in the area for years, and she thinks it was deliberate by Israel, pulling out when they saw how things were headed with Hamas in Gaza so that when it went to **** they could be like 'hey, we were good, we pulled out, look what happens!'

I don't know about that.

I mean, serves those stupid Palestinians right for being there, right? How dare they originate on land Israel was going to later annex?

Maybe they should have set up their own state as per the partition instead of (largely) temporarily vacating the land so the their Arab brothers can 'drive the Jews into the sea'. I wouldn't be in such a hurry to invite such people back. i doubt anyone would.
They could have set up a homeland in Jordan which occupies the majority of what was Palestine.

Yea, it is written in the Book of Cyril...

So other Arabs do a thing, that makes Israelis killing civilians OK? Cool.

Funny I remember abolitionists did the same thing in the United States.
Exactly. Furthermore, I suspect that there were more than a few privileged white folk denigrating them with tongue-clucking condescension.

Your mum's opinion is noted.:)

Either way there was a peace treaty which was not broken by Israel.
I just cannot agree that Israel would make such a juvenile move, especially after all the investment both economically and socially that had been built between the two.
Regards to your mum:)
