80 Reasons to Doubt Christianity

By believing in Jesus Christ as a great soul and teacher and believing his true followers that spoke and wrote about Him were well-intentioned but not infallible (which certainly seems like the case to me).

According to the holy scriptures these followers of Jesus who wrote the holy scriptures were inspired by God to write by way of holy spirit. So to not agree with this would render one an Anti Christ. One who speaks against the teachings spoken of in the holy scriptures.

Who are you speaking to? I noticed you stated you are taking the Scriptures literally. Not everything in it is literal. There are parables, like in the book of Matthew, and much symbolic language, especially in the book of Revelation.
when Jesus talks about hell, it is clearly not a parable

You are correct. It is not a parable. It is a mistranslation and misconception on the part of those who do not yet have an accurate knowledge of the truth. In Matthew 5:22 it is not meant to mean a literal place of fire and torment.Jesus is speaking of total destruction. No everlasting life.He actually speaks of Gehenna. It is symbolic. In places such as Acts 2:31,it speaks of the grave. In Hebrew it is referred to as Sheol. In the NT ,which was written in all Koine Greek,it is rendered as Hades. This is the Greek word for the underworld. The place where the dead sleep. So we can clearly see that this refers to the common grave. Not a literal place of fire and torment.

You will be assimilated; it is His Will.
I have compiled all of the reasons that caused me to become an ex-Christian. This list hits Christianity from every conceivable angle. It may not prove it false, but it does so beyond a reasonable doubt.

According to the holy scriptures these followers of Jesus who wrote the holy scriptures were inspired by God to write by way of holy spirit.

That's circular reasoning isn't it; using a source to prove itself? The bible was put together by unknown sources from unknown sources and then assembled as we know it 300 years after Jesus. How can we now know who was or was not writing fully or partially inspired. We are left to use our reason.

(btw, I am a believer in God and Jesus still)

I guess I've been called worse things but not much worse.:D.

Although the writings were assembled over 300 years after Christ, these writings were already in existence in the 1st century.Another thing,I never called you any names.I described the ex christians. You stated "I am a believer in God and Jesus still", so this should not apply to you, unless you are lost in darkness with no true knowledge of the holy scriptures.

Anyway, that was all in jest.

I described the ex christians. You stated "I am a believer in God and Jesus still", so this should not apply to you, unless you are lost in darkness with no true knowledge of the holy scriptures.

But what you're not grasping is one can be a believer in Jesus but STILL question the authority and infallibility of the scripture presented to us.

The things that cause one person doubt will cause everyone to doubt. Personal doubt is an individual thing.

Thats funny because we were just discussing that at the Kingdom Hall this sunday. You can verify scripture but it is another to question the authority.God is not wrong. His Word is not infallible.

Guacamole! I love that stuff.
There is nothing wrong with verifying scriptures.God wants us to do so.This is how you come to know God and understand His message.
Ehh.. right..
Anyways, it's better to leave something as is in Scripture unless one is very sure the translation is incorrect etc. So, you might be correct here, but it's easy to get led astray by false scholarship in general. Since you already know i'm not a standard Xian, of course I'm talking about translation and contextual issues.
