I don't think that "extreme" is in the title of the leftist forums here. Are you suggesting that all communists self identify as extremists? Should we have any forums titled "extreme" for the right as well? Should we even allow extreme views (which i assume to be extreme because they contain hate speech)?

Or are you using "extreme" to mean "far" left/right. I would prefer a forum be titled "far" right/left than using an ambiguous term like extreme which might attract people to express hate speech.
Silly @danieldemol. You haven't been watching enough Fox news. According to Rupert Murdoch (thanks for that, by the way ), there are no more plain liberals, only radical liberals, extreme liberals, liberal agitators, and liberal wackos.

It can't become anymore extreme left than Communism. That's the frutherst left on the spectrum you can go.

It's there and it's real.
The comparison is valid. My point was that if you want to pretend that it's not, you won't be very successful at it when the signs that the Republican party has a significant fascist contingent isn't so fresh in people's minds.

Wait until people have forgotten the putsch, the concentration camps, the election manipulation, and the secret police throwing political dissidents into unmarked vans before acting as if it didn't happen.

Communism is radical far-left or extreme left ideology.

And it must be remembered that theoretical Communism is not the "Communism" that's been incorporated into political entities like the USSR or Red China.
Anyone can call themselves Socialist, Communist, Democratic, People's Republic or whatever.
It's usually just window dressing.

What terms would you use for far-right or extreme right ideology? Can you give any examples of specific current political parties and/or countries?

Patriots?
That's how they see themselves -- and how law enforcement seems to see them.

Right, because words don't mean anything and Marx, Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, etc. weren't real communists because they promoted or did icky things and blah blah blah.

Centrists have the disadvantage sometimes of being disliked by both the left and the right.

What?!?! I'm a centrist precisely because I thought it would mean EVERYONE would love me.
Dammit!!

In response to the OP, I wouldn't use it, although I might respond to threads others started.
To me, the point of centrism is a level of pragmatism and compromise because of the diversity of opinions and evidence...not in denial of it.

Anarchism is very far left, and frequently goes much further than even communism in its rejection of state coercion and capitalist society.

Imo I would say Anarchism is beyond the left-right spectrum.
