A personal relationship with God?

Pharrell

Sometimes " God " reveals himself through " revelation " to " chosen " people. And I am one of those Chosen Ones. Allah Akbar.

Arrogance lacks good reason by definition. If you want to be taken seriously, tone it down.
I dunno - if the all-powerful, all-knowing God of the Universe chose him out of everyone else to be his special friend, then he must be pretty awesome.

I certainly don't think this actually happened, but his attitude seems consistent with his claim.

 Case in point....

Nobody takes me seriously. Everytime I tell someone my story of Revelation ( especially guys ) their souls get filled with Jealousy and Hate. I guess I'm not mad at them as I am just used to it. I am no doubt Illuminati... Not just by " definition " but I really am Illuminati. If you only knew... :angel2:

I think Almighty Allah ( Lord of the Universe ) chose me because of my one of a kind personality. Not only that but a few other things as well. I no doubt made Allah laugh his *** off plenty of times when I was all alone in my room talking to myself out loud, or doing random comedy skits that I came up with out of no where, ect.

Ohhhhh the memories of 2006/2007...

Muffled

Jesus in me
I'm fundamentally confused by this particular notion. God-believers want other people to have a relationship with God, but how is that even possible? Where is God? How do you talk to him? How does he talk back? Is prayer like leaving a message on an answering machine except God never calls back? It's like someone commissioning forty odd authors to write down everything they want to say to you nearly 2,000 years ago and then just disappearing without a trace. Yet that person still demands that you believe that they love you or else he'll set you on fire forever.

The entire relationship would be based on the rather impersonal method of commissioning someone else to write about it rather than direct interaction on a personal level, which is how I conduct my personal relations with other people. I know some believe in signs here and there, but you can make any ambiguous event mean almost anything and it's still impersonal. I mean a single child survives a tsunami and it's called a 'miracle'. Never mind the thousands of people, including other children, that died without a reason because then it's called 'God works in mysterious ways'.

So essentially I'm asking how can I have a personal relationship with God, much less worship him, whenever I've never even met him in person or know whether he even exists?

The relationship Jesus is looking for is the Lord/servant relationship with Him as Lord and the requester as servant. All one needs to do is ask Him to be Lord.

It is possible spiritually.

Most often by causing His words to appear in your mind.
God is everywhere.

This can be done vocally or by thinking words.

It can seem like that sometimes.

i said if someone invites you in that is when the opportunity to share your personal experience opens up. you just don't barge into someone's home now do you? or maybe you do...psst, it's rude to do so, cause you're not respecting the other persons space

psst. Since when did we start talking about barging into people's homes? Last time I checked, this was a religious forum. ;)

dictatorship is when no one is allowed, ever, even when they're invited...
seems to me the reason for invading someone's personal space is because of the fear of not being invited in...

psst. This is a public forum.
