Does fear of pain or death play into this? If you physically harm another person, you have caused them the sensation of pain, whether physical or emotional. If the other person finds this unpleasant, they may reciprocate and do the same to you. If you find this pain unpleasant, the thought of receiving it would prevent you from harming the other person in the first place.Scott1 said:Nope.
In my world, free will is paramount... not you or anyone else has no right to dictate my behavior.
Nope. I'm usually bigger and stronger than others... I have rarely been harmed for my aggression.
I've already said these rules don't apply to me... why should they, I am an individual and free to act as I choose without consequence.
Oh... maybe others who have the gaze of that "mirror" on them should respond.... my morality has nothing to do with fear of punishment.
People push this limit all the time to see how much they can get away with. Its all based on how much of a wuss you perceive the other person, or their relatives, to be. In that sense the basis of social justice may be the unpleasantness of pain.
We were created or evolved that way and that's just how it is...religions just tend to modify it a bit.
