They aren't all roses and peaches.

I have no reason to doubt that people experience NDEs.

I also have no reason to doubt that they're generated by the subject's brain as a result of some particular set of circumstances.

So whether the experience evokes positive or negative emotions is either due to some existing mental tendency or just the luck of the draw.
