A Universe from Nothing?

Yes, we need definitions of those concepts. They are used in a wide variety of ways by different sources, so knowing what *you* mean by them will help in this debate.

Well, you certainly didn't.
take your pick of definition.....then choose

Spirit first?
or substance?

so you don't know when the ball is on your side of the fence

Rofl. No, he asked you a question and you refuse to elaborate. Your usual aversion.

If your stance is so great, and your knowledge so absolute, why cannot you answer questions?

pick it up....and give it a toss

But this makes the entire question you're posing MEANINGLESS. Choose randomly. That would in turn "prove" whatever you wished it to, in whatever way you wanted to. Because you don't give the definitions.

Spirit first?
or substance?

Why won't you first elaborate and make your questions mean something? You haven't even tested the hypothesis and premise for "spirit."

chose any meaning you care to

That again renders your question meaningless if you can't even form your own definition and are asking others to just make up one. What the hell are you trying to do?

no one owes anyone an answer
as you have demonstrated.....

Spirit first?
or substance?

Neither. I don't use those concepts in evaluating the universe. I think both are too vague to be useful.

Your ball.

Exactly. So you might as well try and make your question compelling: One that demands attention. Now it demands it in the wrong way. People don't want to answer when they don't know what you mean exactly. Yet YOU expect exact answers.

as you have demonstrated.....

Indeed.

Spirit first?
or substance?

What do you mean by spirit? Alcohol?

If you can't give your definitions, your question is meaningless and empty. You get to decide the grading system to evaluate the answers AFTER the answer is given. That is not a debate. That's an inane, empty question.

Oh, so only your religion counts eh? I've told you at least twice already. I'm Buddhist. Are you being judgmental?

You haven't shown this to be true. You don't even know what i look like.

Your eyes are failing, old man. :D

It begins with a 3.

not enough savvy to be older

You haven't shown this to be true. Oh, you also haven't shown that your last post is anything but a personal attack against me. It's not overly effective. :D

let's try a thought for a change

Spirit first?

What do you mean by spirit? The horse?

this would more entertaining if you would simply stop asking for definition

you sound like a little kid tugging on my pant leg

do you want to talk about belief?
use what you know.....and post it

Again, more with the same old.

I know i'm not convinced by your claims. I believe your question about spirit and substance is empty and meaningless unless you can define your OWN question. Otherwise your agenda is other than debating.

Well, that seems to be clear. His agenda is to troll, not to debate.
