Christ is merely the Anglicised version of the Greek translation of the Hebrew word also rendered in English as messiah. Hence, the two are synonyms and writing Christ Jesus is exactly the same in meaning as writing Jesus the Messiah.

The word "messiah" in Hebrew is "Machih - מָשִׁיחַ" from the verb "Machah" means Clear" and its meaning in the Old Testament is anointed with the holy oil, and quoted the word "Machih" to the Greek language as it is, but Greek letters "Mesias -Мεσσί" , in arabic language is also have the same meaning, means anointed, anointed by god which is a very respectful position.

While you have spelled the Hebrew word correctly, the correct transliteration would be mashiach (or moshiach). And it is related to the verb which means "to anoint."
