And yet the deniers persist in their denials. Something is wrong with their brains. Herd immunity to common sense.

There's acceptable deaths for cars so there must be a number equally acceptable for Covid as it pertains to herd immunity.

There isn't an acceptable death rate for cars, that is why we are continually improving safety measures, and place traffic laws (kind of like mask wearing and lockdowns), to help stifle the number of egregious offenses, even though we know that some will always occur, the goal is to reduce the risk (not eliminate).

There would have to be acceptability. We still willingly use them in spite of laws and safety accommodations.
This argument doesn't actually follow a form of logic. We know they are dangerous despite the laws, and drive them depsite the inherent risk, so heck the laws let the idiots die? That's what I am picking up here.
EDIT: How about I fly you down here so you can talk to my dying wife about acceptable risk? I am sure she'd be thrilled. I've got the extra cash, you could even quarantine with me. God's knows I'll need the company if she passes.

It's not some secret it to under mine America, although the 2016 election may have been. This virus is just a right place right time. We knew a global pandemic was coming,and even predicted it would probably come out of china, just like avian flu and those other SARS bugs. It started in China because people eat unclean game meat.

Sure, but to talk about herd immunity before a vaccine is available is dangerous.

You mean, it's dangerous because when you talk you don't keep the 2 meter distance, or because people don't wear masks?
Because the Chinese implemented some of the strictest lockdown measures in the world, every citizen was being temperature checked in and out of their own domicile, not to include their workplace and that's just the tip of the iceberg.
The difference between the US and China's response is that the US hasn't actually responded to the crisis as much as flailed at it, and China went full scale Authoritarian lockdown.
Edit: and yes eating unclean game meat, it's why most major disease outbreaks start in either China or Africa.

Either you take measures to suppress the spread of the virus, or you don't. Measures like social distancing, wearing masks, washing hands, limiting contacts with lockdowns, etc.
If you don't suppress the virus (prior to a vaccine) then the economic and human cost is enormous. As many countries are realising to their cost.

Sweden did nothing of all of this, and almost got no death cases. That is strange, isn't it?
Probably they have a naturally better immune system, as it is cold there, your immune system gets stronger.

Yes, and for the most part she is stable, although her O2 sats are lower then they were earlier today which could indicate a worsening, and she is not improving any. Oh, and they may need to insert a feeding tube, as she has to lie on her stomach.
