Of course, the article isn't about the mere playing of the game, but rather about conduct therein which becomes public.
To criticize it is about as ridiculous as most political criticism these days. It's just new grist for the same old mill.

Way back when I played World of Warcraft, I quipped about melting faces with my shadow priest using the "Mind Flay" spell. Does this reveal some deep, dark facet of my character?
No.
But you just killed your chances of running for prez in 2016.
Most political criticism isn't about substantive issues, but
rather minor peccadillos & faux pas which can be spun for gain.
Pretty ridiculous, and think most voters will think it's ridiculous as well.

Honestly, if they have to go to the point of finding stuff she says about playing an online game in order to attack her than that says more about them than her. It says that they have searched and searched and can't find any other possible thing to discredit her with. It shows they are desperate and will sink to any level they can. It shows they are a pathetic and sad lot.
Welcome to the world of electioneering....voters are a pathetic lot, & what concerns them most is often what matters least.
But there is an up side. My posts here (even the in-persona ones) would ensure that I'll never appear on a ballot.

Life is too short to spend your precious life in a cyber world. There is more to life than spending your time staring at a screen all day. Some folks don't realize what they are missing in the real world.
People tell me that they never get any opportunities but I have to ask them how they would know when they spend their entire day being self centered in a fantasy world while the real world just passes them by.

Right, except that's not what's going on here, nor with the vast majority of those who play video games. It's such a gross mischaracterization that those who are trying to portray it in such a light are either very dishonest or very ignorant, nether of which are positive qualities for politicians to possess.
It's akin to the "moral panic" that surrounded Dungeons & Dragons during the 80's.

It's as if every person who plays online games is glued to their computer for hours on end, with no life, living in their parents' basement, mooching off others and single for eternity. Stereotype anyone? Politicians, actors, CEOs, hard working people in every field play online games. It's not like it's some evil taboo.
I never said playing video games made you unfit for holding office.
