I agree that truthful religion or faith is not blind; it is reasonable to have faith than doubt.
I think faith can be extremely harmful, while doubt is what drives inquiry. And what is truthful religion?

Personally you should trust nothing and question everything.
Quoting scripture.... are you not?
Of course. The evidence all around us is that life forms die. Feeling that you are somehow exempt from the process is a feeling that you possess something of great value. Whether you have faith in vast monetary wealth or spiritual immortality, your faith can be misguided if you believe that you don't need to corroborate it by checking the facts.Comparing the delusion of monetary wealth to spiritual beliefs.......
and you think this works?!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Indeed. I do know how it works with you.And we've had so many discussion of belief in this forum.
You know by now, how it works.
I have, but your reasoning is just as flawed there as here.I have a thread by that title...'how it works'....check it out.

Yes.Not exempt.
We breathe...we die.
It's not a 'feeling' that I might continue after this life.
In all that we see above our heads, and all around us on this earth...
And you think our lives terminate altogether?
No. Not on my part.Flawed thinking?
Nonsense...!
Adherents to Judaism have faith their religion is truthful.
Adherents to Islam have faith their religion is truthful
Adherents to Christianity have faith their religion is truthful...
Yet each of these religions are strikingly different and professing different messages.
Nonsense...!
I'm so glad you're not a scientist.

Am I?
I didn't realize I was.
Actually that was a piece of advice my mother told me when I was a kid and told her I didn't believe in gods or the supernatural. She, being a baptist christian, was a little surprised but after I explained my position she understood and said "It is always good to trust nothing and question everything.".....
