If she is guilty of a campaign finance violation she should absolutely be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. As should evey other elected official. No double standard here.

But I still have to point out you linked to something called “pjmedia” (never heard of it, sounds like they should be doing Saturday morning cartoons), which is repeating a story from “the daily caller”, hardly a reputable source, and the entire story is based on one former FEC employee.

By all means keep watching, if you find any real information let us know. If she is guilty, lock her up.

And if you want to eliminate PACs and super PACs altogether to eliminate this kind of corruption you should actually support the Justice Democrats.

OK but you will not like the source, probably. You have to listen until you get to the lawyer who explains the issue

PJmedia is reporting on something a conservative government watchdog group reported about AOC.

Wow that anchor is annoying. Nevertheless I did watch and and the lawyer brought up some good points that I agree with.

Ignorance of the law is no excuse.
Being new to politics and campaign finance laws is no excuse.
And the candidate is responsible for the actions of her close staff and should be held accountable.

Do you also agree with these points?

If they break the law.
Ok now bring up President Trump since that is what you are going for in your last sentence.
Then I will bring up Obama who was fined for breaking campaign finance laws.
So we are even. Nothing more needs to be said.

No we are not “even”, there is no “even”. This is not a sport.

When finance campaign laws are violated democracy loses, and it doesn’t matter who does it or what “team” they are on. This is what you don’t understand. I really do believe in democracy, and in rule of law. And I really do believe that dark money in politics is a corrupting influence.

And I am a big fan of AOC, have been from the beginning. And if it turns out she is corrupt they will be disappointing. But I am not going to abandon the principles to defend her.

So many people are willing to abandon their principles to support their guy/gal, to support their team. You think this is about tieing up the score. But I am not playing that game.

And what do you think? Should someone guilty of a campaign finance violation

Due process. Guilt is not determined without an investigation and trial. FEC can look into just like they are looking into Trump. You need to reform you sentence into something close to the system we are talking about. You put guilty before a trial. That is tyrannical.

be investigated, prosecuted and if guilty be imprisoned?

Yes if the claims hold water.

I have not looked at the claim myself. I just know it was from a government watchdog group.

Let me ask one more question. Should AOC hand over documents to investigators? Should she testify under oath over this?

I do not think there is an investigation at this time. The watchdog group pulled public records and made a conclusion. The group filed a compliant with FEC. FEC is looking over the data and has all submitted records. They can determine if the investigation is warranted.

If AOC has records which she did not submit that is already in violation of the law. She is required to submit all her campaign records.

She can testify when there is an investigation. Without one she is open to perjury traps not questions related to a FEC investigation.

But she is a member of Congress. Congress could investigate this, and probably should.

A problem is I have no idea, myself, what the compliant contains nor what the FEC has for records. Hence why I will let FEC decide until I read more into this subject.

Do consider I think AOC and anyone that followers her as morons. So I could be jumping all over this for little reason.

I'll put forward my thoughts on this:
I think AOC and her campaign members are novices and made mistakes. Now whether these were honest mistakes I don't know. However, ignorance of the law is not an excuse.
