I had a lot of problems years ago just trying to log in into MY OWN account, they always were asking me if I knew names of my facebook's friends. It was too annoying, like I had nothing else to do but spending 1 hour trying to login into my account going through all their puzzles every time. So, I said good bye to this strange platform. I feel great whithout it, I really not need it.
I totally read that wrong.
Is the FB page still active?

I changed phones not too long ago and I can't remember my login information, so it's going to take me a little while.

Why can't Gmail fix this. I had a very important Gmail account and YouTube channel with it, that had a phone number to a phone that was terminated and replaced long ago.
As you likely have experienced, It started telling me to give the code it texted to my phone . That isn't my phone anymore and I was told that since I didn't choose other security question or methods beforehand, there is nothing I can do to fix it.
That's ridiculous, because my face is on most of the YouTubes, and I could upload a video proving to Gmail staff that it is me.
But I guess I'm sol, and that bums me out because many of those YouTubes, I was high on drugs, and now that I'm sober, serious about sobriety, and hate the thought of me on drugs, I want those taken down.
If I ever were to become someone well known, those YouTubes will always be there to ruin my reputation and discredit me.
Be careful with the internet. I doubt Vance realized what dressing in drag Queen one college night, would do to him when he's running for vice president...how extremely viral and ridiculously popular and talked about those pictures would become.
A lot of suicides have taken place over stuff like that.
Just saying...with the Gmail policy, and how some people like myself often have a phone number that changes, the security measures google takes, don't help stuff like that, especially with a recovering drug addict like myself...

@Spiderman I'm sorry that happened to you Matt.
In this case it's not a problem with the Gmail itself, it's the fact that somewhere along the line somebody changed the password (probably one of the owners) and in spite of multiple requests to the previous owners and the current owners we still havent been granted access to it.
For a while we had a forum that the mods could access through which we could at least see what was being sent to the Gmail account (just couldn't reply) but that's gone now too.
That's why I made this thread: If somebody gets locked out of their account and needs a password reset or whatever, emailing the site's Gmail account won't do any good, we won't see it.

Do you have a reddit account? I was locked out of my gmail and thought I'd never get it back. But when I registered with reddit I registered via google and saw that from reddit I was able to get into my locked account, don't ask me how. And then I updated my gmail with recovery info. If not, maybe another site that you may have signed up to using your google account. I don't want to get your hopes up but it's worth a try.
(I didn't have the reddit account for long, it was a bewildering firehose I didn't feel like acclimating to so I left. But glad I had it for the gmail reovery!)
