I'm not sure if the OP was trolling, since there are folks out there who really do believe that all pedophiles are gay. Which raises the question of whether they really believe that, or are just saying it to slam gays. Whatever the case, they're crazy.

Where I have agreed with your postings I have read throughout I cannot agree with this. I am grown up and I am scared of paedophiles, not for me as I am grown up but for the youth of today so are so keen to grow up too quickly that they could be subjected to such a thing.

But if you think that teh youth wanting to "grow up too quickly" is a contributary factor in the amount of Paedo attacks, that's a very wrong assumption to make.
It implies that there is some kind of conscious reciprocal attraction coming from kids, towards their abusers.

No I read what I wrote again and that is certainly not what I wanted my opinion to come across as. (I completely missed the joke, may be tired, who knows, three days without sleep does that... flu/sickness bug before anything else is assumed). I still do not get the "joke" that people who are afraid of paedophiles need to grow up though? I hope I come across in the manner I intend by the following... I feel that some of the youth today so wish to be classed as an adult that they become victims more easily than others of paedophiles. This is not the childs fault as I have said on other threads but as how we as a society have become so obsessed with every little detail that should NOT matter yet overlook the details that SHOULD. It's a common sense approach basically.

Lots of people get pedophiles confused with people prey on teens. Not saying you do, but I think that's what he's going for.

Firstly he told me there was a specific age group, we all know what they (paedophiles) are so they can target a child of any age, not within a specific category such as 10-13, some have targetted much younger children, hopefully you see where I am coming from.

They do, but he cannot tell me what I know and what I do not. I seemingly cannot be scared of paedophiles because I am an adult therefore the outcome has become that I do not know what they are.

I'm not making any accusations. Or arguing. I was making a distinction. An important distinction. You may see it as nit picking, but when discussing something like paedophilia, I think it's important to approach the subject with the relevant factors. Otherwise, people get confused, and make points like you did earlier.

Storm understands what I'm saying easily enough. That paedos target pre pubescent children, not teens. But you seem to see it as 'silly' and 'nit picking' to point out that you have missed the most important factor here. This has already led you to make a dangerously ignorant statement regarding cause and motivation.
But if my pointing that out is just "crying for attention", I shudder to think what your reaction would be if a child in your charge came to you for protection after being molested. Would you then say "It's your own fault for trying to grow up too fast"?

13 year old kids are pretty much too old. The "Much younger children" are the norm rather than the exception here. I'm going to go out on a limb here, for the sake of iteration.
I used to have sex with my fourteen year old girlfriend. (I was fifteen/sixteen at the time) Under US Law, if this came to the attention of the authorities, I could have been charged with the Statutary Rape of a minor, branded a sexual molestor for the rest of my life, and thrown into Prison for up to twenty years.
Yet as the 'older party' in this scenario, would you have classed me as a predator, or a paedophile at that time? (Nit picking, I know, but important)

The only one thing I did ask at the beginning of this was what your "joke" as you put it actually meant, still to be answered but now turned into a debate of some sort over what I know and don't know.

I don't take this subject lightly as it seems you think I do, I just asked a simple question then was told I don't know what paedophiles are. How do you know 13 yos are too old? I am well aware that majority of children are very young who are subjected to this abuse, I chose that age category as an example, if I had chosen 6-9 or any other category my gut feeling tells me you would also have had an issue.

The one thing you have mentioned above that I will say "How dare you!!!!!" is: "I shudder to think what your reaction would be if a child in your charge came to you for protection after being molested. There is no way I have said that children, who in this day and age actually are growing up too fast, are deliberately seeking out these beasts. These paedophiles are using various methods of luring kids via the internet for example by them pretending to be the same age as the child, there have been so many cases of this, then the child agrees to meet their new "friend". Quite frankly if a child of mine was molested I would do time lets say, so do not assume you know me, ok?

With regard to your personal story, it got me thinking back to when I was young. Probably not, although if I was your parent and you were caught, you'd have certainly been grounded.

Anyway, I shant be asking you a simple question again to receive an interrogation.
