America’s most admired man, Donald Trump

Joe Biden got a third of as many Gallup most admired man votes as President Trump. Yet Biden is supposed to have gotten more presidential election votes than anyone ever got. “Right”.

:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

With reasoning like this, I can see why so many conservatives don't believe in evolution, climate change, or wearing masks to prevent illness.

Yes, the question has been asked 74 times, and 60 times the incumbent POTUS won. Just happens to be top-of-mind, nothing more. It's because they don't prompt -- you are free to choose your uncle Clyde, if you feel like it.

By the way, even so, he only got 18%, which is actually a bit low.
If that is true then why did Joe Biden get only a third of the votes as President Trump?

I see you went straight to ad hominem. A sure sign you don’t have a logical rebuttal.

He’s most admired by 18% of Americans.

But his approval rating is a disappointing 42.7%. That’s worse than any incumbent President since WWII with the exception of Jimmy Carter and LBJ.

Trump’s disapproval rating is 53.1%, which is significantly higher than basically every post-WWII President, including LBJ, with the exception of Jimmy Carter.

Trump lost to an unloved candidate like Joe Biden by being so unlikeable to most Americans, even while 18% cling to him, like toadies to a schoolyard bully. He’s otherwise broadly disliked for an incumbent.

LOL. More like the rebuttal is so obvious, and the point so absurd, it requires no rebuttal. I don't spend a lot of time refuting flat earthers.

If you want some small clue, ask yourself if maybe, just maybe, people might vote for President based on some criteria other than who they most admire.

I seem to recall that's the case. So far as I know, people the world over have a hidden groupie in them. Human nature, I suppose.
Yep, even the worst of Presidents will "win" this pointless poll. There are so many candidates that the mere popularity of the President guarantees a win. A much more reasonable system needs to be found to be definitive in any way at all. To be fair one would first need to narrow it down to a reasonable number. Say a Sweet 16. The next poll could go to an Elite Eight, a Fabulous Four, a Tolerable Two and finally a "Most Respected".

I hope that the BBC doesn't report that or Britain won't be able to go back to work after New Year....... will still be falling about in fits of laughter.

But Michele Obama ...... she is well respected here.
That sort of makes sense since the British also like Mushy Peas and Spotted Dick.

Superb thinking! Razor keen insight! I, too, once won an overwhelming majority in an election unrelated to any presidential race, yet 'they' also denied me my rightful term in office as America's President. I'm so glad you care! No one else ever has!

That would not be an ad hominem. You could argue that it is a red herring.

It was more an observation of the simplistic way I note that conservatives often reason.

"How can you say we evolved from monkeys, when there are still monkeys around??"

"How can the Earth be warming? It's snowing outside my window!"

"How can you say Biden won the election? I know so many people who love Trump!"

In fairness, I'm sure there are similar lefty examples. It just struck me how similar the reasoning was to other things I've heard from the Right.

"If it is true that the Earth is tilted on its axis, why don't we have to shorten the legs on one side of our tables?"

"Why is it inappropriate to say that a woodchuck, who has increased the amount of wood chucked, has upchucked?"
