Of course not. I was not talking about irrelevant religious convictions
I was talking about questionable laws...like they have in North Korea for example
I already did. :) I will not touch the law on abortion.
The head of the European Conservatives is an Italian. She said her party will never touch the law on abortion either.

Let's wait and see.:)
If the citizens of those states find these bans anachronistic, they will elect other representatives and other lawmakers.
From a democratic point of view, the federal level is too distant from the single states within an immense country.
I don't trust the voters.
But I'll wait & watch with optimism.

and there are arguments that I have encountered (but not listened to) that claim abortion has been legalized to limit the number of non white children.
I would not be surprised if this were actually true (first time I hear about it though)

Point being, we hear a lot of scary things about abortion; and many of us in church have been told that it is satanic. So, yes, we have heard many scary things
Hence the importance to think for ourselves, and the importance to not blindly believe what Churches say

And definitely this "Church scare" should not be any reason to ban abortions, imposing it on others
Especially realizing how detrimental this imposing of the Church for millennia has been on billions of poor people

Brainwashing as done in churches I have never been a fan of, esp. if it is negative, fear mongering. They better tackle that problem first, instead of imposing more fear on these poor women who can't escape misery due to this new anti aborion law

We also have heard many other scary things about progressives, liberals and leftists. You might be surprised, but 'Progressive' does not bring a smile to all faces, here
I agree, that all progress need not to be good always nor for all people
There are quite a few things that I rather see gone

Personally I would not like to abort a child
But IMO it's not my place to decide for others about such things

Is this a thread about Texas' abortion law?
Different states in the U.S. have different laws on abortion.
Vermont will have its people vote in November on an amendment to enshrine a abortion as a right.
The video is mostly about (anti-)abortion world-wide.

How about a woman being raped. I guess you at least agree that this woman has the right to an abortion, right?

I would let the woman decide. However, I don't think the child is the guilty one, which is why I think it is wrong to punish him for the crimes of others. If someone should be aborted, it would be the rapist as I think Bible suggests, if the rapist was not a virgin before the act.

America's anti-abortion proven unscientific and killing women

Some real facts presented by an Indian journalist, PalkiSharma, my favorite from WION. I think...well it must be the case, otherwise the court's case would not hold, that American news won't be told these facts

Below a video of 9min18sec about abortion:

NOTE: Below a video of 9min18sec about abortion: normally I would highlight the most important facts. But I won't this time. Why? Because there are too many, and the video is "too good" to see for yourself. This video proves how Americans are being brainwashed by their social media and their news and their government, and being imposed with this, IMO, crazy "anti abortion law"
I'm pro choice. I believe that the jurisdiction of the law on behalf of the child should begin at birth when the cord is cut. Prior to that its the inherent right of the mother.

The law complicates the issue. If a pregnant mother is murdered then the assailant is charged with (2) murders. Vehicular manslaughter is the same. If a drunk driver kills a pregnant mother then he or she is charged with (2) negligent homicides. So the court is in a position of deciding who's constitutional rights they are defending and when are those rights are afforded the child??? At conception? 1 week? 3 weeks? 10 weeks?

With anti-abortionists its not so much the mothers body rather its the child's body that they feel so passionate about..
