Anti sodomy laws?

So obviously this has been hinted at a great deal since the infamous R v W decision.
Now not being American I won’t pretend to understand how that would work. Just that from the outside looking in, it looks like the US is vying to be the most archaic and backwards modern civilisation in modern history.
Sorry.
That’s just how it looks on the world stage.

Now I’m hearing that many of the US states are going to try to reinforce anti sodomy laws.
Is that seriously what you guys want?

Have at it, guys. Chat, discuss and debate about it.
I’m just thankful that my country actually has some freedom.;)

Wha???

I hadn't heard of that...

How would a person even prove such a thing? Furthermore, who cares who puts what where? (Provided its consensual, of course.)

I wouldn't be surprised to see them return. Indiana was one that banned sodomy and oral sex.

It's only a slim risk and possibility, only. You have to remember, SCOTUS also had a right to privacy ruling much like Roe vs Wade that stated anti-sodomy laws were unconstitutional.

I've just been answering a question about "proving that God does not exist." Now, how are we going to prove that not one of those Indiana legislators ever enjoyed a good BJ, or the attentions of a very cunning linguist?

And there's the beauty of it -- we can toss it all out.....

...and then do it all over again.

Intelligent animals we may be, but actually learning doesn't seem to be our greatest skill.
To be completely honest?
I’m expecting to hear of civil unrest and massive riots in the US any day. A bit surprised it hasn’t already. I know protests have happened, but not riots
You can only push down people for so long.

As it's Indiana they may not have as they may have been too scared it would damn them to eternal Hellfire.

I can only say that I sincerely hope that you are wrong. Such events only end up hurting so many people.

Whilst I agree. Sometimes that’s really the only option available. And I’d argue that such laws (legislating against abortion, anti sodomy laws etc) are in themselves harmful to many people in the first place
