Anti sodomy laws?

Don't these folks realize that humans have sex for procreation and pleasure?
Yeah, basically it is for that. However, (it is said that) God created individuals with different propensities.
(I am a strong atheist, for me it is evolution and balance of hormones)

Okay so bonus question of sorts
People seemed happy that the states got to decide after the R v W decision.
What about the states that decide to make illegal sodomy? Is that a good thing?

Most, but not all, of those that supported the R v W decision are fundamentalist Christians. That often comes with a healthy dose of homophobia. I predict at least some open support and even more unvoiced support.

Many States banning abortion are leaving the enforcement of such laws to their citizens. I wouldn't be surprised if these States extend this style of enforcement to these proposed anti-sodomy laws.

The whole country is going to be full of Mrs. Kravitzes (from Bewitched).

The problem is that it is not just "one law". Some states are proposing legislation to keep pregnant people from leaving the state to get an abortion. Some are proposing taking away marriage equality, in other words gay people will not be able to marry each other again, some are even proposing going after birth control itself. This ruling has brought out quite a few that look to be outright fascists when it comes to what they want.

And how will they enforce this? Stopping cars with women in them at the borders? "Ma'am, are you going to have an abortion?" "No, sir, just vising my Aunt Betsy." "Okay then, on your way."

They may do what Texas has done for their abortion laws. Ask for help from a population of falsely righteous Mrs. Grundy's.

That they even think that they are in the right in doing so is rather worrisome.

Funny, yes...but this could be done. Cops could stop a car
on the pretext that they saw a woman leaving the state,
which would constitute suspicion of a potential crime, ie,
traveling to get an abortion.
Just as there are sobriety checks, there could be pregnancy
checks. Lots'o questions to generate probable cause, & then
a blood test to determine status.
Of course, there'd be aps for the fleeing mom-to-be alerting
of any such checkpoints. A game of cat'n mouse it becomes.

That is going to require a butt load more police officers and they are already hurting for people. Check points at every border road is not feasible. I wonder about these folks' brains. They really should use them for good instead of being busybodies. They need to worry about the planks in their eyes.

We are already divided. Now instead of just thinking bad about other people, we can actually seek to harm them. What the heck...

DUI checkpoints are roving operations. Not much manpower
required. But Republicans love spending money on cops, so
this would justify the tax increase. Also, bear in mind that the
kind of person attracted to police work is ideally suited to
catching errant mothers seeking liberty. it will be great sport
for fundie cops.

Why has "boat load" become "butt load" so often?

This gives the patriarchal, macho type police officers a good reason to demean the little women. Great...

I didn't know where it came from. Perhaps because butts are getting to be as big as boats here.

In our progressive society, we now have female
tyrants becoming cops. They are as prone to be
anti-abortion as are men.
Women love to demean women too I've observed.

Boats carry larger loads than do butts.

Female cop beating pregnant woman....
