Anyone change their mind yet about May 21st 2011?

I just noticed that this is happening next year. American's don't typically worry that far into the future. We are a "now" society.

If that is a serious inquiry we can talk in private or one on one area as that discussion on this thread would get muddled.
Yes, it was... I've always been fascinated with people claiming to know something God has, apparently, explicitly said they do not.

Problem is no one will be smiling then...
It's easy now to joke, but this is really going to happen.

How absolutely preposterous! Where on earth did you get your information anyway? It's quite clear that that is not the right date for the end of the world. The little green fairy named George that sits on my monitor told me that you have it all wrong a long time ago. According to His Great Winged Greenliness the true date for the end of the world is September 27th in the year 4056. I mean wow, you can't even get the right millennium.

Afraid to disappoint him?

No I have to just trust God in these matters, my son is wise beyond his years. His fate is between him and god. I try to live and teach by example. He has been exposed to what I believe and I have taught him the ideas of atheists as well.
So I trust god to do what is right for him and I'll be the best dad I can be for him.

I am not trying to be cruel here, but if you are so sure of Camping and his predictions you should not be hiding it from those you love.

When I left the Southern Baptist Church, I was up front about it.

Everyone close to me already knows my conviction...

Last bit of seriousness I will post on this thread.
Not that you may care, but I am very disappointed in you.

Now, who else is coming to my BBQ?
(I mean it, I have a year to plan my Harold Camping Zombie Night BBQ )

Well, that means you care about me. For that I thank you, and I do care.
You see, I may be a dreamer of sorts, but I find my sanity slips when I stop dreaming. What makes me most uncomfortable is to live in a world without a God who cares. We all have to be who we are, hopefully not judgmental of one another.

God is not what I once thought God to be, but I can't ignore the things I have learned either. If you don't want me at your party I would understand.

BTW, I have a 22oz Fat Tire in my fridge I have yet to drink. I got it on your recommendation. My pool is finally filled today, so I am grilling Jamaican shrimp on the barbie tonight and going to crack it open, then relax in the pool a bit.

Peace...

If you are left here on that day you will have 153 days to do what you will, then on October 21st 2011 complete annihilation will happen to the remainder.

153 days on earth without Christians?
Sounds...liberating!

itwillend, how much of your 'belief' in this doomsday scenario is influenced by fear?
And what will you be doing on that day?
