Apparently Kavanaugh has the votes he needs secured.

So now we'll just have to wait and see what threat if any he actually poses to reproductive choice, gay marriage, and other rights and freedoms as many have feared.

He'll be confirmed, even though it will be a first for a judge with his demeanor.

He was rightfully upset and had a mean demeanor and short temperament when being wrongfully accused of sex crimes. If he had not been upset for being an accused gang rapist or sexual assailant, then ,many people would have thought he was acting guilty of being the gang rapist or sexual assailant whom some messed up minded persons alleged.

At least everyone will know the court is partisan, rather than fair minded.

Technically, not true... If Kavanaugh has a fault it's that he's a constitutionalist. Trump is not really down with the far right, never has been, so the picks make sense in that regard.

Well here comes the liberal wailing, weeping and throwing dust in the air.

No... that would be that Senate is partisan rather than procedurally minded.

Ok, granted I was wrong. Some people will always remain clueless about the partisan nature of the court. It is and always has been partisan. Since the beginning. But sometimes less so than at other times.

They wanted an investigation and they got one, it didn't turn out the way some wanted, Kavanaugh was presumed guilty by more than a few. The stories of women who were sexually assaulted are heart wrenching but their own personal stories do not automatically mean anyone who is accused is guilty of it.

Congrats on that, btw. How is Cali so far?
A million times better than Indiana. Getting a job here was easy, getting insurance was easy, though I am finding it hard to find an apartment (mainly due to many of them having roaches and some not letting me apply due to me just starting employment with my current employer), though I did find one to apply but I haven't heard back from them yet.
And all though the Valley considers itself Conservative, it's bleeding heart Liberal compared to the psycho Conservative Indiana (I didn't realize exactly how bad it is until I left, I just knew it was bad). I don't see Confederate flags here, I see people with their arms covered with tattoos and hair dyed bright, unnatural colors. The humidity is low so the heat isn't too bad.
My feet have been super sweaty though and I've been having some chest tightness/asthmatic symptoms since I've moved here. And I'm just slowly starting to calm down when I have cannabis on me and see a cop (I went into an "externally calm but internally totally flipping out" state the first time it happened).
Overall it's been pretty good.

In some other thread, someone mentioned that they felt that Kavanaugh was being denied "due process." Yet, that due process isn't about the awarding of powerful sinecures, but rather about not being punished for crimes without the most thorough examination.

I am a great believer in the notion of innocent until proven guilty, with a special emphasis on that word "proven." I have deplored cases where convictions (including the death penalty) have, to my mind, lacked the real proof that I think necessary.

However, this is not about protecting Kavanaugh from harm, this is about giving him awesome power over the lives of all Americans (I say this as a Canadian). Now, let me draw an analogy … let us suppose that you have children, and you are looking for someone to babysit, as so many do. Now, let's also suppose that there is someone, say a 25 year old guy, happy to do the job and accept your money, except there have been rumours … oh quite unproven … from several sources over the past couple of years that would seem to suggest he has preyed upon children before, sexually. Now, you may not have enough evidence to convict him of a crime, but would you give him the job?
