Apparently - Two State Solution is not Palestinian Desire.

Al Jazeera is partially funded by Qatar's government, if I am not mistaken.

But it is at least an exageration to say that media in general is so aligned to governments.

I don't doubt that for a second.
True, every media is oriented.
But some credibility, and some biased.

I remember Aljazeera before lied about libya, also Syria war. It's was against Gaddafi. And Bashar Assad.
I don't say they are angels, but in Gaza war they show some credibility.

I don't like double standard of West claim about human rights.
Russia is banned from olympic games because ukraine war, but Israel allowed to participate despite genocide in Gaza.

Dialogue ...

Q - Hey, Ali, Salwa, any thoughts about a two-state solution?
A - Not at the moment. But could you give us a hand with this rubble? We're trying to find our twins.

Some questions are untimely.

Some statements say it all...

“It is the duty of the followers of other religions to stop disputing the sovereignty of Islam in this region, because the day these followers should take over there will be nothing but carnage, displacement and terror,” it decreed. Hamas also rejected any prospect of peace or coexistence with the state of Israel. “Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors. The Palestinian people know better than to consent to having their future, rights and fate toyed with.”

Logically with this along with the video, we can surmise that there is no solution on the part of the Palestinians. It is a shame they don’t really want peace. A shame they don’t have their own children in mind.

"The following are considered null and void: the Balfour Declaration, the British Mandate Document, the UN Palestine Partition Resolution, and whatever resolutions and measures that derive from them or are similar to them. The establishment of “Israel” is entirely illegal and contravenes the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people and goes against their will and the will of the Ummah; it is also in violation of human rights that are guaranteed by international conventions, foremost among them is the right to self-determination."

So much for peace.

I can’t ignore reality.

I'm not sure whether you saw my earlier question. I'll quote it here because I think it still applies:

But let me flip around the question here: if current evidence demonstrated that a majority of Palestinians supported a two-state solution, would you support that solution yourself? Why or why not?

Sorry, my friend. I somehow missed the question. The answer is: absolutely, first and foremost because I support the Palestinian right to self-determination.

I know you do, which I have always deeply appreciated. The question was for the OP (although I probably should have been clearer about that, given how it was right below your post).

Salaam, friend.

And I just commented on the reality
of your posts continually giving sole
blame for the conflict to Palestinians.
Just in case: an elitist group in the US enormously benefit from the sale of warfare.
So they enormously benefit from this war.

I’m sorry I didn’t catch it.

I have supported a two-state solution. Which is what has got me befuddled. As I can see it, it has been offered by Israel on multiple occasions.

So, as I view the video, past occurrences, rhetoric and the declaration by Hamas… I don’t think it is possible unless a miracle happens

It's a Christian & Zionist thing.
They fleece all of us taxpayers
for their religious thuggery.

It's not a Christian thing, to begin with.
Christians want peace between the two parties.
Those who don't want peace are those who need to sell weapons.

Every single one of the offers cited in the article had its own issues. Just because past offers were rejected doesn't mean a future one couldn't address the flaws of the past offers and lead to a two-state outcome.

Also, I notice that the article is written from an extremely one-sided viewpoint that is exclusively and strongly in favor of Israel without demonstrating any understanding of Palestinian concerns or the finer details of the proposals on the list. One can't understand a group's perspectives or concerns by reading about, rather than from, said group from someone whose viewpoint is biased against them—just as reading about Protestantism from, say, an ardently anti-religious atheist wouldn't be as effective for understanding a Protestant perspective as actually listening to Protestant scholars and priests talk about their own beliefs.

I'm under no illusion that a peace process would be quick, easy, or simple, but I believe that if leadership in the region (Israel-Palestine) mutually wanted it to happen, a miracle wouldn't be needed.

No doubt… and hopefully one day it will. But when the average person today on the street says “NO ISRAEL! DUH!” so to speak, I personally don’t see any possibility without a miracle.

It isn’t the tenor that I was trying to look for. It was just the history. The historical information is correct. 4 attempts and all stopped by the Palestinian and Arabic nations.

Hope you are right… but as Oct 7th, arsenal production factories, billions of dollars of tunnel infrastructure, Hisbollah’s efforts along with Iran, I wouldn’t bet on it…. without a miracle.

I always wondered why time after time after time when Israel has said “yes” to the two state solution and given territory and other concessions, it never worked.
I don't read the history the way you do. I've never seen Israel really willing to work for a true two state solution for long. Rabin was assassinated for trying to work toward it. We've seen settlers with the aid of the Israeli government taking over East Bank land. Certainly fanatics on both sides have worked hard to make sure there was no real peace and that's a supreme tragedy.

Did you know that in Israel there are Muslims in the Knesset to have equal representation?
And the last Israeli administration had a Muslim party in government. Muslims in Israel have been second class citizens and now we have fanatics trying to drive them off their land and worse. We've had the Israeli government taking Arab property in Jerusalem.
