Uhoh, I'm a white Aussie and I've been known to get about in salwar kameez quite a bit! It's not my fault they make them so comfy and pretty.

Every State of India has its own wear. I hope you have tried the 'pheran' in winters. It is made of woolen cloth and is beautifully embroidered. Here is Hillary Clinton in a 'pheran'. It goes with a shalwar. And the Maharashtrian dhoti is just flabbergasting.

Sadly only Salwar Kameez for me. In winter I do what most around here do and wear a cardigan over my Kameez.You know, when in Oz... Haha
