Are babies, "enemies of God" in your faith tradition?

Unattended kids eating an apple is evil? No, it's not. It's what kids do. I recall studies from the past in which children were left alone in a room with cookies and forbidden to eat them. They did anyway, because that's what kids do. The following is similar, but it involves not a threat, but a reward for delayed gratification. The kids predictably failed there as well:

I'm guessing that JWs don't expect their kids to be like that in their paradise earth after the end of their 1000-year reign. But instead, they will be perfectly behaved perfect children.

It seems more like its repelling fish because to me, it makes them sound like fanatics. Plus, I'm guessing that probably some of the rank and file feel this way too.

Maybe.

And for a person who doesn't know that much about Jehovah's Witnesses, how can you say that for sure?

Nah. I didn't make general comments about all Jehovahs witnesses. That's bigotry.

I spoke about this particular preacher in the video in the thread.

I don't make conjecture about people like you just did above. I think you are just looking for some thing to argue about so you are prying to create a new topic to argue. It won't work because I am not interested in bigotry or any genetic fallacies.

But how do you know what I said was conjecture?

I think you are just looking for some thing to argue about so you are prying to create a new topic to argue.

Well, no because this is thread is in the Religious Debate forum and not the Religious Q&A forum.

It won't work because I am not interested in bigotry or any genetic fallacies.

Well, I guess you have a point because it would be your bigotry not mine. But how could there be any genetic fallacies since what is being said involves JWs' current doctrine?

Psalm 51:5 - Against You, You only, have I sinned and done what is evil in Your sight, so that You may be proved right when You speak and blameless when You judge. 5 Surely I was brought forth in iniquity; I was sinful when my mother conceived me.
Romans 5:12 - "When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned."
Sin entered the world, the Bible says. We were brought forth in iniquity, sinful upon conception. Them's the facts.
The psalmist realized there is a confined setting to sin. It's in our makeup, can't help it. Only forgiveness from God can set us straight IF we go His way.
(The way is narrow, said Jesus -- few would find it.)

Yes, that is what those verses say, however, what is the point of Lett's specification? It's almost as if the regular Jehovah's Witnesses can't come to that conclusion on their own from reading Psalms 51:5 or Romans 5:12, and Lett had to make that a point in JW doctrine.

I apologize, firedragon. I didn't mean to put the fire out in your dragon. ;)

Well, I've always wondered if something was wrong with him.

I don't know who this guy is. I am not a person who likes this type of preaching anyway.

But how do you know what I said was conjecture?

Yeah. You said "for a person who doesn't know that much about Jehovah's Witnesses". Conjecture.

Well, no because this is thread is in the Religious Debate forum and not the Religious Q&A forum.

True. But what do you want to debate about with me?

Well, I guess you have a point because it would be your bigotry not mine. But how could there be any genetic fallacies since what is being said involves JWs' current doctrine?

Bigotry is a genetic fallacy. And my comment was not about their doctrine, but about this guy's preaching.
