Are Baha’u’llah’s prophecies coming true?

This "prophecy" about a "new world order" is vague, and thus fails point five in my list of things that a real prophecy requires (see my signature).
Where is your signature? I do not see any.
Prophecies, perforce, need to be vague otherwise the prophets will be nailed, since prophecies are falsehood. It has been like that since the oracles of Mari (Frenzied women from whose lips the God speaks), Syria (2nd millennium BCE). Oracle - Wikipedia

Trailblazer, when you speak of future, you too seem to be the oracle of Mari.

I did not say that you said anything about whether Baha'u'llah was a real prophet or not.

Excuse me, I have no interest in listening to you talk about baking, okay?

What you did do is start talking about prophecies and what is required according to your criteria.

Isn't that what you started the thread for?

Didn't you want to get people's opinions about these prophecies? So why are you complaining when I give you exactly what you want?

This "prophecy" about a "new world order" is vague, and thus fails point five in my list of things that a real prophecy requires (see my signature). There are dozens of things in the last century that it could equally apply to.

Really, you must try harder.

#177 Tiberius, Today at 12:18 PM

Then I said: I am not trying to do anything so I don't need to try harder.

Ah, how silly of me.

I thought you were TRYING to participate in a rational discussion. I see now that I was mistaken.

What you did was assume I was trying to prove something with the two prophecies I posted but that was not my intention or the reason I posted the thread.

I did not ask: Do Mr B's prophecies show that a new world order is coming?
I asked: Are Baha’u’llah’s prophecies coming true?

And if they were coming true, would that not mean that a new world order is coming?

I mean, if he prophecied that there would be a new world order, and those prophecies came true, that pretty much requires there to be a New World Order coming, doesn't it?

You are trying to have one without the other when the one requires the other.

No, I do not know how to use it, so I just do the best that I can.
I do not know how to use a cell phone either, and I have had one for about 22 years! :D

No, I did NOT start the thread for 'opinions' about the prophecies. I only started the thread to find out if people think that Baha'u'llah's prophecies about <the old world order being rolled up and a new world order is rising in its stead> are coming true.

I said: The old world order being rolled up and a new world order is rising in its stead. Not only the Baha’is but many other people have seen this process unfolding all over the world at an ever-increasing pace but it has become even more apparent now that war has broken out in the Ukraine.

Are Baha’u’llah’s prophecies coming true? In the latter half of the 19th century, Baha’u’llah prophesied that what we are seeing now would take place. I believe that humans will build the new world order with the assistance of God and what was revealed by Baha’u’llah.
Ah, how silly of me.

I thought you were TRYING to participate in a rational discussion. I see now that I was mistaken.
Why did you think I wanted to discuss the prophecies? I only wanted to know if people thought they were coming true. This was not intended to be a discussion about Baha'u'llah and whether His prophecies measure up to your standards for a good prophecy.

You said: This "prophecy" about a "new world order" is vague, and thus fails point five in my list of things that a real prophecy requires (see my signature). There are dozens of things in the last century that it could equally apply to.

There is no need to insult me just because you misunderstood why I started the thread. Are you ABOVE misunderstanding someone else's motives? I misunderstand other people and when I am corrected I acknowledge that I misunderstood and I often apologize for implying something I had assumed that was incorrect.
And if they were coming true, would that not mean that a new world order is coming?

I mean, if he prophecied that there would be a new world order, and those prophecies came true, that pretty much requires there to be a New World Order coming, doesn't it?

Yes, if the prophecies were coming true it would mean that a new world order is coming. Conversely, if a new world order is coming that would mean that the prophecies are coming true.

I am not trying to have one without the other. I just wanted to know if people think Baha’u’llah’s prophecies coming true. In other words, I wanted to know if people see what I see happening in the world, the old world order being rolled up and a new world order is rising in its stead.

Tell me. What should I test?
Whether Baha'u'llah was a charlatan or if you prefer was mad or deluded. You do this by examining his life primarily to see if logically it makes sense for either of these, and His Writings have some bearing on this. I'm saying this not for your edification primarily but for others who read this post, since this is a public place.
I have investigated and found none. I did not even find any evidence of a God who could have sent them. Can you prove otherwise?
No, I can't prove the existence of God to you logically. But if a person finds evidence of Baha'u'llah being a Prophet of God, that p the existence of God to them.
Then what are you telling me to test? If the parts are not true, then the whole also is not true. It is falsehood and snake-oil selling.
If any the prophecies are not proven untrue, then that occasions a reason for further investigation for some, though I think that wouldn't be true for you since you have had some sort of investigation into his life and teachings, though probably not with an open mind.

A system of justice will not take sides and no one will be free from prosecution if terrible crimes have been committed. The reason we don’t have a just system yet is, I believe, because governments do not want a system that can hold them to account for their crimes.
Here in the U.S. we have a situation with our Supreme Court. Trump got to pick three lifetime justices. Taking sides on particular issues is why those people got chosen.

There is nothing to investigate. There are a series of claims, all lacking any substance.
They have some substance, though not very specific. If any of the prophecies are proven untrue, then we have to conclude that Baha'u'llah doesn't have the power of prophecies. Conversely if you can't do that you have to consider the possibility that He can prophesize, and investigate further to see of He is a Prophet.

His father was a rich Persian aristocrat and he's described in the first few lines of Wiki this way:

"Baháʼu'lláh was raised with no formal education but was well read and devoutly religious."

The notion that a well-read Persian rich kid would be unaware that civilizations rise and fall throughout human history is rather untenable.
Have no idea how well read He was. He quoted from books, but at times said He didn't read the book He was quoting from. I well know that as you are not a believer you will not believe this claim right now.

In the past the falling star came.

Irradiated heavens gases fell. Gases not of the star of earth and space pressure. Sacrificed life.

Ice melted. Water life changed. Ice became cold. Earths mass lost it's fused radiations.

The thinker says a gods message told me it was like Rome and Jesus warnings.

Muslim mind motivated to reapply temple rebuilding pyramid science.

Like Jesus incident teaching said it's happening again. Men believing it's safe using machine technology.

I must warn them. I teach them. I use old science information as verification. What new advice I was given. A man.

They murdered him.

You only murder a messenger human thinker as you know they are correct. You are however rich powerful and want to be richer.

Why trade by inventive resources was rich man established.

You write articles against rich men stating what they had begun a long time ago it was due to changed human behaviour and choices that needs to be stopped.

Same old rich man I chose life destruction human theme. Choice about behaviours owning choice.

What do you think you are arguing about in human reality?

It proved we needed to change, it proved we still do.

The peace and security of all humanity is unattainable unless and until its unity is firmly established, that unity can never happen while the Councils given of God are passed unheeded, that is what Abdul'baha shared, but more importantly the way he lived was in Love, Peace and embracing all humanity.

The telling gives us all a fair chance of making the right choices. The rest is up to us.

Bust clocks........... occasionally correct, but never to be trusted.

While you're promoting Bahaullah's prophecies the people of Ukraine are struggling for freedom.
Their grace, courage, valour and bravery are eclipsing any clever words of Bahaullah's that you might quote at this time.

While we continue to reject what God has offered, those conflicts will result in the bombing of cities across the world.

God bless all those that face injustice with grace, courage, valour and bravery, Ukraine being the latest, but there are still others around the war engulfed in conflict.

We know! About World conflicts.......

Every time some dreadful situation occurs it seems that Bahais start ranting about their manifestation's prophecies.

It's like a group of folks standing on a pavement and watching the most dreadful bank robbery, bodies everywhere, machine guns hammering, screams and more, and somebody is saying 'My prophet said this could happen!'

Then are you offering you also know the solutions that were offered?

As this is what needs to be addressed.

Who is 'promoting' any prophecies? Not me.

I fully agree. Their courage and valor and bravery has me in tears every time I listen to the news.
The whole world has a lot to learn from them.

Also know?
I don't think that Bahauallah knew diddly, Tony.

In my opinion:-
His policy today about Ukraine could well be..... 'let's not take part in protecting'
His policy about WWII could have been ''let's not take part in protecting'
His policy about WWI could have been ''let's not take part in protecting'

Most of us are thinking about the Ukrainian people at this time, not your prophet.
