Alright guys. If I wanted a debate I would've posted this in that section. I wasn't looking to make a federal case out of it. Do you all jump on new members looking to learn like this? Are you the forum troll McBell?

Yes, there are. There are degrees of sin?
Except MOST versions use murder, not killThe commandment doesn't read "Thou shalt not kill, unless you think you have a good reason."
For the most part.Everyone who bothers to kill someone thinks they have a good reason.
The question isn't whether or not it is a commandment.Either it's a commandment, or it's not.
Agreed. There's no "Do not covet your neighbour's wife, unless she's super hot" proviso.
Interesting. Are you the forum troll McBell?
Why do you find it interesting?Interesting.
Pray tell, what is it I presented that makes you think I am a troll?

How about answering my question first. What is it I presented that makes you think I am a troll?
OK as a Christian I believe that the Ten Commandments are talking about murdering other people, which I am opposed to.I just meant that I'm not the type of Christian that's going to pass judgement on you because your beliefs differ from mine.
Yes. Murder is always wrong.I believe it was Obama that gave the orders to hunt down and kill Osama bin Laden, and Trump the same for Qasem Soleimani. They were without a doubt very bad men but it says in the bible "Thou Shalt Not Kill." I assume God means murder. That being the case, does that mean the two will be held responsible by God for the killings however justified it may have seemed to them?
@McBell No answer huh...I just got here and already I have you pegged. lolHow about answering my question first.
Thank you. That's all I was asking. Being a nube always sucks. lolYes. Murder is always wrong.
The Bible, even if it is "God's word" (it never actually claims that) was not written in English. You are always dealing with a translation into English. Not all translations are the same. That's why I asked this question. I know that it says not to kill. Plain and simple. So are Obama and Trump on the hook for murder regardless of their reasons.
My question was asked first, so should be answered first. How about answering my question first.
Hi Subduction Zone. The Bible, even if it is "God's word" (it never actually claims that) was not written in English. You are always dealing with a translation into English. Not all translations are the same.

Wrong.Hi Subduction Zone.
I understand that. But no matter the translation He forbids taking the life of another person for any reason right?
I have seen some translations that limit it to murder, so no.Hi Subduction Zone.
I understand that. But no matter the translation He forbids taking the life of another person for any reason right?
So you are not willing to answer the question?I may be new to this forum tough guy but not to members like you. lol
