oh i mean i never did biology as in from satrt to finish, in my home country just before moving away, i was in high school and did biology there, it was good, i was the best student, but too bad i had to move, so i never did it again. that what i mean as in in never did it, never failed at it.
I can only shudder at the thought of how poor the understanding of the worst student in the class would be, Eselam. I think all I needed to hear was that this class was in Albania. That explains quite a lot. Thanks for that.

Some of us are chimps, don't forget.
Someone remembers me :p

Beyond being a smart arse as usual...

I find this an important subject as i believe we tend to forget "uncivil"/"animalistic" side exists... or at least don't like to talk about it.

i was taught in macedonia, but the thing is i was taught western biology, not islamic, so this proves that westerners contradict themselves, when it come to which kingdom humans belong, you your self do not agree to what i was taught in macedonia, so then you are not speaking the truth but you are speaking the truth that you think is right. with some arguments or points taken from biology and you fabricate them to suit your ways and not reality. this proves it, since you are going to say that i was taught nothing but lies in the biology class, when i was instead taught western biology.

What is "western biology" and how does it differ from other biologies?
What are the "other biologies"?

there is also islamic biology, it tell us that humans are not animals and that we didn't evolve from monkeys.

what does this mean? whats "one for two" what are you reffering too?

That of the two statements islamic biology tells you
1) Humans are not animals
2) We did not descend from monkeys

one of them is the same as "Western" biology. Number 2.

It depends on what exactly you mean by monkey. Most people in the West who believe evolutionary theory states we evolved from monkeys refer to the modern monkey species we see today. That would not be the case.

If, however, monkey is used as a term to reference the prosimians and their descendant forms then the answer would be yes. However, those fossils are not similar to the monkeys today.

Ask painted wolf. This is an area where she is leaps and bounds more knowledgeable than I am.

ok let me clear it out, islam says that we were created in full, we didn't evolve from anything, nothing evolved from anything, god created everything in it's perfect structure.

Well then there would be no similarity. Is this the biology they taught in schools where you were educated?

There are times when I wish that everyone who has such beliefs could not benefit from anything that involved evolution.

But then I think of their children and how many of them children would die because they cannot use any medication....

Still, I honestly believe that the world would be better off without all of the Kent Hovind's.

why can't the children use medication, that is a right of everyone.

You think it would be but even in the West we have this ridiculous notion that parents can raise their children completely on their own even if that means denying them medical necessities. I forget exactly how many States in the U.S. have laws basically allowing faith healers who are criminally negligent with their children to get away with it. Or exactly why our legislators are a bunch of pansies letting them get away with it.

I don't know that even if these people had a more thorough education in biology that they would drop their harmful beliefs. The best we can do is ensure that all humans receive a proper education. Nearly impossible task on a universal level.

Are you serious?
Taking the question in context of the post you replied to, because without evolution, you know that part you disbelieve, there would not be the medications that there are now.

So in a nutshell the majority of medications would not be available for those who disbelieve evolution.
Meaning their children would not get them either.

But again, this is within the context of the post of mine you replied to.

Well, I think it is heartening that the vast majority of respondents realize what is quite likely the truth of our origins. I guess what I don't quite understand is how people can cling to the believe that we just appeared complete, pretty much as we exist now, in the twinkling of an eye. One rendition just makes sense, whereas the other rendition sounds like a religious variation of an "away" team materializing on Earth.

Oh well, it just shows that there is much work to do yet.
