Are Jesus and Lucifer brothers?

I agree with this statement 100%, but I am amazed to hear you say it. I can't count the number of times I've had Catholics tell me that Jesus was not created. Could you explain your statement in light of that criticism?

No one would deny you your personal beliefs. Deep down we really don't know who is correct and who is wrong, really.

Baptists, also, believe that Jesus is God and not created. I believe it, too.

Yet Jesus is not ashamed to call us brethren.

Hebrews 2:[11] For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren [
12] Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.

I guess Satan is the one who appeared to Saul "Paul"--if someone really did appear--but not the real Jesus Christ.

Speaking strictly from theology and mythology, no, its not possible because Jesus was human and Satan is/was an angel two different species.

What makes you so sure that humans and angels are two different species? In every instance in which the Bible relates the appearance of an angel to a human, they looked exactly the same.

I'll skip the human definition and explanation as I'm sure we all have a pretty good understanding of what a human being is to spite differences in theology or ideology. I will also try to answer this from a Christian and Biblical stand point as you are a Christian.

Here is what I know about "angels" please be gentle its been a long time since this question has come up in a theology class.

To begin with the word angel comes from the Greek word aggelos, which means messenger. The Hebrew word mal'ak has the same meaning.

Angels are not glorified human beings we find this in Matthew 22:30 which explains that they do not marry or reproduce like humans. In Hebrews 12:22-23 it says that when you get to the heavenly Jerusalem, you will be met by "myriads of angels" and the spirits of righteous men made perfect thus two separate groups.

Angels are a company or association, not a race descended from a common ancestor this can be found in Luke 20:34-36. We are called sons of men but angels are never called sons of angels.

As far as the origin of angels the the Bible talks about the "creation of angels", therefore, it is clear that they have not existed from all eternity Nehemiha 9:6; Psalm 148:2,5.

Angels are essentially ministering spirits, this can be found in Hebrews 1:14 and do not have physical bodies like humans. Jesus declared that "a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have" from Luke 24:37-39.

The Bible does, however, make it clear that angels can only be in one place at a time, so they must have some localized presence. Angels can also take on the appearance of men when the occasion demands, how else could some "entertain angels unaware" Hebrews 13:2. On the other hand, their appearance is sometimes in dazzling white and blazing glory Matthew 28:2-4.

So my point is and was an angel is a supernatural being found in many religions such as Christianity, Judaism, Zoroastrianism and Islam, angels, as attendants or guardians to man and typically act as messengers from God.

We are not supernatural, some people think they are but there is medication for that.

I hope I answered your question and if I got some of the verses wrong please correct me its been a very long time since I quoted the Bible and I don't have one handy.

I believe angels are simple people without bodies. But I guess some classes of angels could be resurrected people.

I don't care who appeared to Paul, I'm all about results. Paul went on to evangelize almost the entire Mare Nostrum region.

Lucifer and Jesus are one and the same. 2 Pet. 1:19 (look at the Vulgate translation).

Mythologically speaking though, "Satan" (which is not "lucifer" in the Bible) are also brothers of a sort. Interestingly, both are frequently associated with Old Testament serpent symbols. Jesus is the "word" through which all creation was spoken into existence - the cause of the schisms and fragmentations of "God." Satan is associated with the Fall, the acquisition of "knowledge of good and evil," which again is to say the cause of the schisms and fragmentations of "God." They represent the dark and light (cynical and hopeful, judgmental and creative) aspects of the exact same phenomena.

19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

What's a Vulgate Translation? Sounds vulgar.

The Vulgate is the Latin translation from the 5th Century.

et habemus firmiorem propheticum sermonem cui bene facitis adtendentes quasi lucernae lucenti in caliginoso loco donec dies inlucescat et lucifer oriatur in cordibus vestris

Oh ok. Cool. Only problem is I can't read Latin. I guess that's another thing to put on my to do list.

I'll shortcut it for you: Jesus="lucifer"

The reason it is significant is that the word "lucifer" only first enters the Christian lexicon when the Bible is translated into Latin, because "lucifer" is a Latin word. Thus, "lucifer" is not a proper name of any person. As a proper name in the Bible, it could only be applied to the planet we call "Venus," though not the Goddess the Romans called "Venus".

Hmmm. Well I don't take peoples word for it very often. I'll have to do more research for myself.

Lucifer as "light bearer," and in the mythology about the character that has emerged post-Vulgate, which is mythologically associated with Prometheus (the fire bringer) would also be mythologically related to Jesus. All three steal the secret of the thing of greatest value from the Heavens and bring it to humans and are punished for it.

Brother Rock
Jesus before he was born on Earth and was only a spirit; an Lucifer were brothers. But once Lucifer was cast out and became Satan they are no longer brothers. Lucifer was the brother of us all but once he became Satan we ceased to be our brother. Essentially he was cast out of the family.

any scriptures that say this?

It's just personal interpretation of scripture. The only scriptures I have show that Lucifer was cast out and became Satan. And that we were all together with God before we came to ths Earth. What scriptures are you looking for?
