Are Jesus and Lucifer brothers?

Through the Looking Glass
Hezekiah 13:9

Hezekiah is actually tangentially related to this topic.

2 Kings 18:
He removed the high places, smashed the sacred stones and cut down the Asherah poles. He broke into pieces the bronze snake Moses had made, for up to that time the Israelites had been burning incense to it. (It was called Nehushtan.)

The Isrealites, suffering in the Desert from the bites of poisonous snakes, looked up upon a metal snake nailed to a pole by Moses and were healed. The snake on the pole became an idol worshipped in its own right rather than for what it symbolized. Hezekiah is said to have destroyed it.

Forgetting the second part of that story, Christians often associate Moses metal snake on a pole with the healing power of Jesus on the Cross. In Gospel singer Michael Card's song, "Lift Up the Suffering Symbol" he points this out, though knowing his dogmatic approach to religion, I personally feel he doesn't quite understand the potential scope of what he is saying.

In time the brazen serpent became an idol in the land
And they left the living God to worship clay
When they forgot their suffering
Soon true faith had disappeared
So some idolize a brazen cross today

I'm getting confused. How did Lucifer get drug into this? And forgive my ignorance but what does Lucifer have to do with Christianity other than his name was misused and applied to Satan presumably until something more believable could be thought up. Lucifer is just another name for Satan in this format.

I'm not absolutely positive why most Christians believe Lucifer and Satan to be one and the same. Latter-day Saints believe all of God's creations existed in spirit form long before our universe was actually created. Satan (who was never actually born as a human) existed before the world was as Lucifer. But even those who were ultimately born as mortals existed prior to their mortality and were previously known by other names. We believe that Adam, for instances, was known as Michael pre-mortally. (Somehow, I suspect this tidbit will spin this topic off into a whole new direction.)

Lucifer is Greek mythology as well as Roman so I'm lost, I have heard this misused so many times but never explained as 2 separate entities.
