If God doesn't exist that is true. But since "hurt" can be subjective, I don't know how far you would take that.
The fact that me sleeping with her doesn't hurt anyone, period, is true whether or not God exists. If it hurts anyone, it's because it's been driven into their mind that homosexuality is bad and horrible and unnatural. I don't know whether or not you have a wife; if you don't, pretend you do... suppose it caused a stalker emotional trauma for you to sleep with your wife. Would that make it wrong? After all, it hurts someone.

The stalker isn't God. So I wouldn't care if it did. Besides he's a stalker. :eek:

Victor, who do you believe, if anyone, is hurt by Liz and Jensa having sex or even getting married?

I guess I wasn't clear enough. Sunstone, it hurts God. If he designed/created/intended for it to be Sally and Steve it would be no different if I designed a machine to package spoons but it started to package forks. Not what I intended.

If it hurts God for me to be in a loving relationship, I'm afraid God needs to see a psychologist.
That's not what I said. Scroll up and see how Sunstone phrased it. He said "sex".

Allow me to rephrase; if God is hurt by me having sex with someone I love and someone who loves me, I'm afraid he needs to see a psychologist.

I'm confused. Victor, would you say that homosexual sex within the context of a loving relationship hurts God?

That's better. I suppose it's far fetched that Jensa could need one, eh?

That's the funny thing, though... I don't go around telling people that them having sex hurts me.

Seems I don't need one for the same reason God does. Unless you're implying that me sleeping with Liz hurts me as well.

Obviously, your standards differ. To each his own, but there is no denying you have your set of ideals and will defend them when approached. Who knows, maybe you do "go around" telling people what you think and why you don't like this or that. You don't do that do you? :)

Telling someone what I think and my own opinions differ very much from telling someone that they're doing something horrible and sinful and something they weren't made for and that it hurts God to do it.

I respectfully ask you to answer my question, please.

(1) cause the breakdown of the family unit;
(2) degrade the sanctity of marriage;
(3) bring about the collapse of civilization; and
(4) cause God to punnish the bible belt with hurricanes.

It is completely naive of you to think that sex with Liz is not directly responsible for these things. The very same quality of science that establishes Intelligent Design is a valid scientific theory also establishes that sex with Liz will have dire consequences!
Oh no, you DID NOT GO THERE.
(1) My aunt and her 'significant other' are the best parents my cousins could have ever asked for. This 'two mom' family structure has given my cousins a loving home, where their father was abusive and things were really bad before my aunt left him. I think God shines upon their family, and I would challenge any one who says lesbians or gay men do not make excellent parents. We don't even need a man and a woman to have sex in order to have babies. The family structure would be stronger and better if it is based on love, instead of fear and domination.

(2) The sanctity of marriage was degraded when divorce became so easy to get.

(3) Hate, and judgement will bring the collapse of civilation, not love.

(4) I will not even validate that with a response.

Sunstone, if you were reading my convo with Jensa. You would see that I already aswered it. If you are talking about 2 homosexuals having sex with each other (which is what I thought we were talking about). The answer is YES.

As long as you say "I disagree" to anyone at any point in a conversation. The other person knows you disagree and most likely (depending on what it is) knows it at least troubles you. I fail to see the difference Jensa.
