Are the gods friends with each other?

I don't have any children. I wonder how that will play out. :p
Probably YHWH will be disappointed and heap all punishment (that he would have given to your three or four generations) on you. Good that you have Hindu Gods and Goddesses to protect you. :D :D

You're worse than some christians with their bible. It's written down, it must have been so. But that's not the truth. The Gods are embodiments of virtue for me, that's how I have experienced them always. They're constructive, kind, merciful, tender, and most of all noble. The stories were made for entertainment of ancient people. I find them entertaining too but I don't think they happened for real. In Christianity I didn't take Noah's Flood for real. In paganism I don't take the other stories for real. They're just prose meant to deliver spiritual points, like fables.

Yes and to point out that there is "good" and "bad" with everything. We need to dig deeper and see all facets rather than just the "nice" ones. It's simplistic otherwise.

When is nobility and goodness simplistic, it's so much work and tasks and exercises. Life ain't easy, I don't see why the gods would have to make it even harder. They are our solace and help.

Well, I suppose if you enjoy your... ehm... whitewashed rendition of the gods, each to their own path. Don't expect the rest of us to join you.

Yep, all I have to do is call on Maa Kali and Lord Narasimha to give YHWH a beat-down. Maybe even Thor. He likes a good fight. Then we could have a tankard of ale or horn of mead after his victory. :D

Harder for whom? Hiranyakashipu would certainly not think highly of Narasimha, the former having been disemboweled by the latter. But life became easier and richer for Prahlāda after Hiranyakashipu was dispatched. Narasimha was solace and help for Prahlāda. It's relative, depending on your pov.

Better learn the ways of peace first...

Better learn the ways of the gods first. It's not enough to read the stories at face value.

Btw, I don't think anyone is trying to be an ambassador; I think devotee or follower are better words.

I can only assume you're talking to me.

Look, I entertained this all when you first brought it to the table; the blending of your Jesus, Odin, and Zeus. As someone who is familiar with Odin (none can truly ever know him), I tried offering some advice from Heathen and Norse perspectives. It seems to go in one ear and right out the other.

I have said that most myths are just myths, so it is absolutely incorrect for you to accuse me of "so it is written, so it is". Did Loki really get chained beneath the earth? No, people interact with Loki daily - something not possible if he's chained up. Will the Ragnarök happen exactly as written? No, it's a Norse lesson that all things must end.

Yet the myths and lore are also how we can learn a good many things about the Gods. You would ignore everything for the sole purpose of keeping your impressions lily white. This is so far from the truth that it's almost childish to entertain.

Consider Thor. You say that the Gods are constructive, kind, merciful, tender, and (most of all) noble. Okay, what about when Thor is in a foul temper, and rips through a town destroying everything in his path that's not protected, held down, or strong enough to withstand. Is he thus constructive? Kind? Merciful and tender? Most of all is it noble to be in so foul a mood that one does such damage and harm to the unwary and unprepared? I think not.

You discount myths and lore as nothing but fables, but you're living a fable yourself.

You're full of aggressions and want to be ambassadors of Gods. Better learn the ways of peace first...
Hardly. You will remember, I'm sure, that this entire exchange began peacefully - and make no mistake still is, just no longer entertaining. Peace is a fine enough thing, but it is not everything. This is something that you still have yet to learn, it would seem.

Nor do I need to be an "ambassador for the Gods", and thus have no urge to strive to be so. The Gods speak plainly enough for themselves. I have just been trying to save you the trouble of a paradigm crisis, and possibly doing harm to yourself through gross ignorance of the various traditions and cultures that you're looking to over-glorify.
