Are there single fathers, who never married, with children in the West?

Remarrying is living in sin (unless they have died)- not that I want to get personal.
Clearly we have different opinions on the importance and meaning of "sin". :)
And apparently the Pentecostal Church has yet another. Maybe they don't care too much as long as you show up and throw something in the basket. I don't know.

Personally, one of the biggest hypocritical aspects of the whole marriage equality fight is the lack of interest in divorce. Straight people popping out babies onto the shifting ice floes of "serial marriage" is a far bigger threat to society than gay people marrying. But when was the last time you saw a "Stop Divorce Now!" placard or an effort to write anti-divorce legislation or a politician promising to fight divorce if you vote for him?
Never, that's when.

It would seem to be obvious before we start :)

Don't agree.

Good point. It should be noted. It is adultery after all. The way people got out of marriage a few years ago was to say (the man usually) someone had committed adultery, therefore the church would anul it. So people just said they had and that was that. Of course, if we implemented the Mosaic law, we would then have to put the offender to death..... there has to be 'or else' or it doesn't work: hence your comments.

Don't agree.
Why is that?
I see all kinds of damage done by parents who divorce over relatively trivial reasons. And people who got married for trivial reasons to people that they are not really compatible with. I see all kinds of social disasters come out of this, particularly kids with rotten childhoods who grow up to be rotten parents.
Gay marriage, not so much.
So the enormous amount of time and resources invested in fighting equal rights for gay people strikes me as evil hypocrisy.

But gays have only recenetly been allowed to marry, so it is hard to compare yet. Wait a few generations until the novelty wears off, and then come back to me ;)

Either way, homosxuality is not natural. You know my stance on that.

It's a good thing I don't believe in your "sin" then.

In no way can you possibly believe that if a man beats the **** out of his wife and treats her like she's less than the muck on his boots that she should be restricted to never find any love or happiness for the rest of her life. If she is lucky enough to get out of that marriage and away from her abuser you would actually hold that she should never love again? Because that is what you are saying when you seem to think that being with anyone unmarried is a "sin" and daring to remarry is a "sin" as well. You are punishing a victim for the rest of their life. You honestly believe that your god holds such standards? If so do you really wonder why anyone would think your god cruel and spiteful?

sin is going against the will and or wishes of your chosen deity.

Why?
Because it is said chosen deity that declares what is and what is not a sin.
To miss the mark, to err. Everything is part of God, you me, the lot. There is only one right and wrong and then mankind messing it all up and looking for excuses not to do it.

Murder is nothing more than an unlawful killing.
And just because something is "unlawful" doesn't mean it may be the "wrong" thing to do at the time either. It may be "wrong" according to the law but it may not be personally for the person doing the killing depending on the situation they are in.
