There is an argument that recognized democracies are evolving towards aristocratic regimes.
I'm inclined to agree. What do you think?
There are many competing trends.. but one very positive one is true non representative democracy- - technology to a large degree is replacing the need for 'representation'
TV ratings, like votes, were traditionally compiled from small representative groups with special hardware, where YouTube, facebook, social media counts every vote, ascertains the will of the people, individually, accurately - with no virtually no added cost or bureaucracy,
Many retail outlets, businesses, banks even, can similarly now operate far more efficiently without bricks and mortar, without physically meeting a representative in a grand building to get a loan- and so too this improves accessibility, fair equal treatment and attention
Why not the same for politics? - Isn't it only a matter of time -before people realize that in this century - we don't still need a replica of the Vatican in every state capital, for career politicians, at huge expense and inefficiency to count only their own personal yeas and nays?
