Are you afraid of death??

outhouse

Atheistically
Really!? Biodegridation is a small part of Energy transference in which occurs upon Human Death. Toothpaste and Rock Energies are nothing more than "Atomical Energies" but what of "Photonic Energy" or "Electromagnetic Energy"? Just because something does not have tangible evidence of its existence yet, does not mean it never will;).

You have not refuted my statement of "once your dead, your energy changes to dirt"

of "Photonic Energy" or "Electromagnetic Energy"?

have nothing to do with a dead person

No but I look at the source of soul and afterlife

these were very primitive people who wanted and wished, and only thing is certain, they didnt lack in imagination.

theres one thing most every man wants, whether he admits it or not. ever lasting life.

the afterlife was born of fear of loosing everything one ever had, love, family, possessions, kingship, everything.

and its funny those people in charge are the ones that change that dogma and deities falsely attributed as controlling such places, at will. As governements/rulers changed.

All of us were dead before, so the experience is nothing new.

Spock said that in The Undiscovered Country, "I've been dead before". Lily Munster once said she was never so insulted in all her lives (I should have stopped at Spock, huh?).

What's death? Switching of a shirt?

^ This rat-cheer (if you're from North Carolina; otherwise it's "right here" :D).

"Just as a man gives up old garments and puts on new ones, so the embodied self abandons decrepit bodies and assumes new ones." Bhagavad Gita 2.22

I don't fear death, though I think about it. I can't change what I've done in the past to affect my future lives, but I can try to staunch the bleeding. That's only if I stop saying things like "If I come back as a poison mushroom I'll work my way into my sister-in-law's spinach salad and give her liver failure". That's not doing very much for me in the karmic assets account. :( :D

As I have mentioned before I have an irrational fear of death that cannot be assuaged intellectually. I blame our death denying culture, death is hidden away and we are constantly told that science (or religion for that matter) will one day make everything better.

I am however 99.9% certain if there is a deity that he will not judge me for my temporary earthly form eternally and I am bitter that people like you have put even a .1% chance of it into my head.

Alsalam aleikum and hello everyone
there are 3 kinds of people reactions towards death:
1-people that are afraid even to think about death
2-people that are afraid of death because they had done bad things and want to do good deeds
3-finally the finest people who they know they did everything they can to satisfy God..
so..which kind are you?

None of the above. I refuse to live my life in fear.

Not afraid of death. Its just a beginning of another end.

Death fighting for what's right is the best way, death in sleep is more preferable.

do you mean that after we die..nothing happens...i mean there are people did the worst things you could ever imagine and others who had good deeds and served humanity and when both dies...nothing??? no punishments?no rewards?

I believe those who die in solitude or from sickness travel to a plane of existence where there is a sense of awareness but you feel nothing but pain.

Those who have "served in humanity" or those who have died defending there beliefs go to a hall favored by "those" forces. Those murderers and thieves go to their own dimension of pain.

At the end, they are released to create a new world.

I find this to be a really interesting view of things. Is this something that came to you on its own or was it an idea that you came across that resonated with you?

Considering the amount of Energy used to allow simple brain function, I have a hard time believing our Energies simply just go to making dirt, but there is no Tangible Evidence as of yet to prove otherwise so you win for now;) (Though personal Experience has given me intangible Evidence:cover:)

As said, that we know of for now:D

I appreciate your view (at one time I was very much the type of person who could not accept things that seem too Fantastical:cool:) One question Outhouse though off topic; what are your views of different places having different energies, often times Energies in which are attributes left behind from pre-existing Humans or maybe a place in which a large massacre has occurred; is it possible Energy created from certain situations my cause a reverberation through time leaving a "stamp" of sorts as a reminder of the occurrence or person?

you know as well as I do science doesnt prove anything

but when there is nothing to test, it scientifically doesnt exist ;)
I am just being a bit difficult here only to prove a point; what about the research of Dark Matter? Dark Matter is a kind of nothing yet is still tested and very much Exists:p (Just keeping you on your toes:D)

Death stands above me, whispering low
I know not what into my ear;
Of his strange language all I know
Is, there is not a word of fear
