Are You Feelin' the Bern? Prove It!

To me, in most cases I believe it to be a mistake to vote as if this was some sort of beauty or popularity contest. It's really the party that more sets the basic agenda, largely because a nominee won't get much support if (s)he doesn't tow the line to a large extent. However, with that being said, I don't propose voting for any candidate that's corrupt or incompetent.

Therefore, I will vote for Bernie here in the Michigan primary, but if Hillary eventually gets the nomination I will vote for her. I've never been a Hillary fan, but the general programs she and the Democratic party proposes are more in line than the alternative, which is allowing the Republicans to win in November.

What does it mean if women vote for a man in preference for the woman?
Does the patriarchy force them to do this?
Or is it that women are free to vote for a candidate, & don't limit their choice to their gender?
If Bernie wins because of women voting, is this a sign of their power?
Or is it still patriarchy because they chose a man?
I'm so confused!

I'm not quite sure if you're asking the above question with genuine sincerity or if you're being playful.

Voting for Bernie has nothing to do with patriarchy for me. It's more this: "Or is it that women are free to vote for a candidate, & don't limit their choice to their gender?" with the expanded qualifier that gender has zero influence with my decision. I like his platform, simple as that.

This is almost exactly what I'd say on the issue as well.

I'd reluctantly vote for Hillary because the current mob of Republicans are too dangerous. No third party vote for me this time around.

Both, of course!
(I want serious discussions to be fun.)

I approve.....not of him, but of your reasoning.

It doesn't hurt that Gary Johnson is prettier than Bernie or Hillary.

But if my memory is correct, the name "Gary" actually means "Short" in Gaelic, so why would you vote for a guy whose name means "Short Johnson"? Maybe that makes you feel, er, ah, more manly?
I don't feel all that manly.
You've now given me even greater kinship with him!
