Are you in the path of the Eclipse? Are you going to see it?

Any interest? I got my pair of "3D glasses" so I probably will check it out. It will probably be too cloudy to actually see anything, but it should still get dark in the middle of the afternoon, so that will be kinda cool.

Anyone else?

I am in the path. My kids are going to view it at school and I too have my glasses. It may be cloudy here but they still say we will see some through the clouds. We will see I guess but I am excited about it.

I posted this in another thread, in case anyone is wondering if they're in the path.

All you need is love.
I'm on the path as well, but with only 99% totality. I purchased a pack of solar glasses from Amazon so that my kids and I could watch the eclipse at the local park. It's not cloudy, so we will be able to view it clearly. We were planning to go to Dallas, but decided it would be far too crowded and hectic.

Not in the path of totality and even if I was it be too nearsighted to see it. Have to wear special glasses to protect your eyes and you cant wear the regular glasses with it. So itd just be a blur to me

I've seen a partial eclipse before. My grandma was with me. She handed me said glasses and said to not wear my regular glasses over them. I look all I see is a blur. I dont see an eclispe. I snuck my glasses over it my grandma yelled and so I saw nothing lol

I live in the 99% partial path, but I drove up into the totality path and arrived just a few minutes ago.

No glasses. I have no interest in looking directly at it. I just want to be outdoors to experience it. Mostly cloudy right now anyway. There may be a few breaks in the clouds so people could at least catch some glimpses of it.

ETA: The sun came out moments after typing this.

I have started digging a hole from India last month to reach USA through the underground route (visa problems you know..). Passed through the center of the earth (where I said hi to King Kong) and am almost near the surface of USA. Just about to break ground in Virginia.

Oh no! King Kong is chasing me as I stole a few of his bananas. Got to dig faster.....

I'm in the path. Thought about going more to the center of it, but the interstate here is full of all the people that the authorities recommended shouldn't be on the road during the eclipse. I'm so shocked.
I’m actually glad I left when I did. Traffic on the interstate was unusually heavy late this morning heading in the direction of the path.

Me too, didn't think too seriously about traveling closer to the centre. Where I am the total eclipse should last about a minute, that is long enough. I am just planing to take a walk down the street and watch it from a bridge.

I had some idea that I would go to a winery a little south and east of me, but south-going traffic on the local interstate is practically at a standstill. I've decided, I'm fine where I am. It just wont be as long as deeper in. But it will be much less crowded and noisy.
