Are you in the path of the Eclipse? Are you going to see it?

Here in the Detroit area, about 99% of the sun was blocked, and did it cool down in a hurry and the birds went into the trees.

Any interest? I got my pair of "3D glasses" so I probably will check it out. It will probably be too cloudy to actually see anything, but it should still get dark in the middle of the afternoon, so that will be kinda cool.

Anyone else?

3D glasses? Bad choice for viewing the solar eclipse.

I had an intense emotional reaction, with tears running down my cheeks. I'm outside the main path of the eclipse and was watching it on TV.

I have no explanation for this.

I saw it from our patio but cloud cover obscured seeing all of the eclipse...

This is so awesome! It really did get dark as night here. The street lights even came on. The birds didn't care, though. They've been excitedly chirping and singing all through it. It seems they're enjoying it as much as the humans are. It's actually gotten us to go outside!

The glasses really make a difference, too. To actually be able to see it as it happens is too cool. It's a nice moment to be able to see.

My dog didn't like it when it was at totality, though. She went back on the porch and only came back down when the light was coming back. Lol
I'm glad that dog is doing well....
