Are you scared of bugs?

I'm so scared of them. There's one in my room. I trapped it under two magazines, then a shoe box, then about 12 more magazines... It could be alive still. I've very scared. It's a really big bug. Maybe the kind that like water. It could have come from the bathroom. I don't think I should sleep in my room tonight, because that bug might get out. Also, his family could be around. What if they are in the shower!?! I have a really bad irrational fear about bugs. I know it's irrational, yet I cannot help it.

I seriously don't know if I'll be able to sleep at all.

I cannot sleep in the same room as it... The living room is notorious for having spiders though. I've seen several rather big and scary ones in there within the past years. If I sleep in there, there could be spiders on me. In the other room with a futon, it's just way too close to my room, so the bug could still get me. My older sister's room hasn't got a bed in it anymore... and my younger sister has a bunk bed but she never sleeps in the top so there could be bugs living there. You know how they live in areas that don't have a lot of traffic. I could just turn all of the lights on in the living room. Those spiders don't like lights. What if they are under the couch!?!?!?

Depends on the bugs. I think dragonflies, butterflies and ladybugs are pretty.
Cockroaches, fleas, and ticks freak me out.
And most bugs don't bear close examination. I mean, even butterflies are creepy looking if you look too close.

We catch and re-home them (put 'em outside in the garden). Well...not all of them. I tend to leave the cellar spiders alone. I only move them when I start seeing a bunch in one area.

Trust me. They don't want anything to do with you. If you aren't comfortable using a cup and paper to catch the little guy, you could use a duster. The fluffy stuff is perfect for them to grab onto usually, and there's a nice amount of distance between the two of you. You can safely carry him outside.

Yes. I'm very scared of butterflies.

It might be a cockroach in my room! The shoe box is on carpeted floor... Carpet is squishy. The bug could escape. That's why I put the magazines on top. I'm still pretty scared though. It could get out. Those things are crazy, super bugs. It doesn't quite look like a cockroach though, I don't think. I'll try to find a google image...

I try to do the same. I don't generally notice anything but spiders in the house, and a bug that eats other bugs is my kind of bug, as long as it lives outside. We did get a wasp in the garage that just couldn't seem to find its way out for a couple days no matter how long I left the door open. I don't know whether it finally found the door or just died somewhere among the lumber and paint cans.

I have to kill them, because transporting them is too risky. That roach beetle thing is too big and fast. If I tried to catch it it could (A) get on me, or (B) get away and be under my bed or something so that it might come out later and get on me! I cannot have bugs running about. I'm a bug murderer, but not being one would be far more scary. You guys might think I'm mean, but that's just the way I am.

Also, those big spiders are too much to handle. There's no way Imma try to carefully transport those things. They are completely 100% scary and I don't want there to be any of them in or around my house. My mom has bug killer spray, because she's really scared of them too. I think she sprayed it some places... Maybe the living room is safe......

You gotta do what you gotta do. There are bazillions of beetles in the world; it's not like we're going to run out.

Plus, bugs don't typically live very long anyway. They'd be dead naturally pretty soon even if I didn't intercede.

What does it matter? We're all going to just die anyway...

Get the vacuum cleaner to it!

You should buy one of these

My mum has one of the second blue ones, for her house in the country because she is terrified of Daddy-long-legs's  she got a cheap version in one of the discount shops for €2 (the official ones are like €20)

I'm not terrified of bugs, I quite like most of them, but if they try to bite me or live in my food they are fair game

I hate, HATE, HATE butterflies, I find them disgusting, I've never killed one though, I just move them out of the house if I find them. I did nearly do a hate crime at the ''Love Europe'' festival when a butterfly landed on the high viz vest of a crowd control person unexpectedly and I jumped back and nearly landed on the baby of a Lithunian couple standing behind me, that is when I decided to get over it, which has been marginally successful :D

Ok so I cheated, that is actually a moth, but it's practically a butterfly and it's kind of cute.

some bugs are so irritated when they feel me so they irritate me and i dislike them. but if they are calm, i like them. for instance, i feel my hose is too empty when there are no spiders. they get me, i get them. they don't run away from me, i don't run away from them. i love them so much actually. they are my friends. so gentle and beautiful. they hang themselves upside down and stay like that. some climb on me when i perform salaats some stand on the exact point of wall for days, some i see everyday some i meet only once or twice a month. impressive! but those who run like hell when they see me...geez...i can't stand them

Wasp, bees, and really anything the flies and stings. They're really are the only insects that get me. Though I think it might be because I was stung when I was younger.

They don't bother me really. If I see a spider or a moth or something I normally just pick it up and put it outside. Wasps however come near me on pain of death.

Earwigs are frightening creatures. I don't like them and they're plentiful this time of year. (Shivers)

I have to admit that people who are terrified of bugs are a big turn off for me. my normal strategy is to let them outside when its possible, I don't even kill poisonous insects in various working enviroments, although there was one time when I was posted on the Syrian border and the place was infested with vipers, plenty of them met a bitter end at the time.
