Mostly vegetarian because my wife has to periodically have some meat because when she has gone vegetarian with me it tends to weaken her immunity system. Generally speaking, we have meat, typically fish or poultry, 1-2 times per week.

Not really, but I didn't eat any meat(unless we count eggs) or drink any alcohol last month.

Vegetarian by proxy. I eat the animals that eat the vegetables. I'm a meat-and-potatoes-and-mead-and-ale kind of guy.

Im in the process of going full vegetarian. I cut red meat completely out my diet. I find holistic eating (and living) brings me closer to the earth and self since we are are what we eat.

I would be vegan but other than animal concerns, I cant find a way to replace fish, turkey, and eggs without it affecting my health.

Ya, you are apparently where my wife is also at. I can go vegetarian for months on end and I have, and it doesn't negatively affect my health, but it does with her.

My blood type is A+, which is supposedly the most compatible with going vegetarian. It is also the blood type of most Scandinavians, which is on both sides of my family, plus also with northern Amerindians whereas I'm part Canadian Cree. [However, my features are overwhelmingly Scandinavian, and my sister's are more French & Indian-- we don't look like we're related at all]

As with everything else in my life, I must be the exception. My blood type is A+ but a vegetarian diet does me wrong. I am a carboholic and have found no matter how I plan, the diet is always too heavy in carbs. The more of them I eat, the more I crave. I'm also insulin resistant, which goes hand-in-hand with it. Despite my quip about being a meat-and-potatoes-and-mead-and-ale kind of guy.

Aaawh.. nice. I actually dont know my blood type. I know, though, if I dont eat solid food I get light headed and sometimes cant see. My sugar level flucuates at borderline and I get dehydrated easily. Thats the least of my problems. :pParamedics came one time when I had severe vertigo and literally could not walk nor sit up straight without falling. They said Im getting older. Im only 34 well, 35 next month, but still, lol

I became vegetarian due to religious/ethical reasons (just the normal "suffering is bad and looked down upon by God") and then became vegan when I really got to know about the facts.

Vegan.

1. Ethics. I don't want to cause unnecessary pain or suffering, either directly or indirectly.
2. Consistency. If I extend moral consideration to my fellow humans under principles X, Y and Z, It would be morally inconsistent to withhold it from other species to whom the principles also apply.
3. Environmental concerns. Animal agriculture uses massive amounts of water, generates massive amounts of pollution, particularly in factory operations, and generates more greenhouse gas/Co2 equivalent than automobiles.
4. Public health. Antibiotics used in animal agriculture contribute to the proliferation of resistant bacteria. I'm also concerned with zo-onotic diseases.
5. Ego-identity. Vegetarianism is considered a good thing in the status communities I identify with.

I plan to become Vegan when I can afford substitutes for dairy products.
