Arizona Republicans Thwart Attempt to Repeal the 1864 Abortion Ban

Shadow Wolf

we are happy for their self-inflicted distress in Arizona
How can you possibly be happy knowing this thing that makes you happy is making people suffer?
It's like Shock Therapy and the idea a severe amd very destructive natural disaster is a great opportunity for cheap real estate development (not what it does say, but the issues (specifically Katrina) that it revolved around).

Yeah, and there's nothing to be happy about, even if it increases the odds of a Republican thrashing in November. For many people it's not happy but scary, tense, anxious and fearful. If Republicans were smart Rie v Wade would be standing. But they aren't amd they have an unshakable base that won't be voting third party over dissatisfaction with Biden and Trump.
You're in the realm of looking for ends to justify the means.
Not even close. I am not advocating for them doing that. I did not tell them to do that I am merely observing what they are doing right now and happy that their true nature is apparent. If they could successfully cover up their motives then they would be far more likely to cause even more damage.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
These days, the people begging for an authoritarian regime to take away the voice of the people say things like "stop the steal!" and "hang Mike Pence!"
Don't forget "Death to America" in Rashida Talibs little fiefdom.

You are misunderstanding the object of the schadenfreude. In this case it is being happy at the distress that the republican party is undergoing due to the unintended (?) consequence of their actions. It is not dismissing the suffering inflicted on the women of Arizona.

Yes, the party that is doing the right thing is happy when the Republicans do the wrong thing and their own members do not like it. You seem to have a difficult time understanding a simple concept.
You said women suffering makes you smile.
Own up to it.

And, "I don't trust the average citizen to make a sound decision." (post #38).
That would be you guys.

I see that understanding the deeper context of ideas is still beyond you. Yes, some will be harmed. But if the Republicans lose far more will not be harmed as a result.
Ok, whatever suffering women are going through makes you smile as long as can potentially give your politician a chance at winning. Got it!
Please don't go on defensive anymore. You're alienating people on your own side.

And you continue to distort. But that just indicates that you know that I am right that the Republicans are harming women. Which is why you support them so questionable.

why do you only talk about how an abortion law affects women? Don't you think men can also have babies? Try to be more inclusive.

Because they are the victims of those laws.

Your question is rather silly. Can men order women to have abortions?
Men can have babies. Therefore, men can have abortions. But you don't care about men having their rights abolished, so you discriminate against them by treating them as nonexistent.

Yes, men can have babies. There was a woman that just proved that. Her fetus did not gestate in her uterus. Somehow the fertilized egg escaped. It was a proof of concept of the sort of procedure necessary for men to have babies. And if it got to be too much for them they ccould also have an abortion. This is not even something new. Here is an article from 1994 with an example of a woman that became pregnant by that method. For a cisman to do it the fertilized egg or whatever stage it was in would have to be planted in a man's abdomen.

Yes, you really really really need to work on your reading comprehension. When you do not understand something you should ask questions politely and properly instead of being rude. Do you not even know what a "proof of concept" is?

I know what BS is, and you just shoveled a heaping pile of it at me.
And from the New York Times, of course. Of course!
