Luke 17

And having been questioned by the Pharisees, when the reign of God doth come, he answered them, and said, `The reign of God doth not come with observation; nor shall they say, Lo, here; or lo, there; for lo, the reign of God is within you.' And he said unto his disciples, `Days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and ye shall not behold [it]; and they shall say to you, Lo, here; or lo, there; ye may not go away, nor follow; for as the lightning that is lightening out of the one [part] under heaven, to the other part under heaven doth shine, so shall be also the Son of Man in his day; and first it behoveth him to suffer many things, and to be rejected by this generation.

OK. This generation has not searched for the true sayings of Jesus Christ. The real Jesus Christ is not being observed or known. How if is presence is inside you is he coming as a thief? His presence in me has been very gradual and not at all unexpected.* And he is light lightening which flashes. There are many things to know about him. He does not come once secretly quickly and then goes away to hide like a thief.

He comes like a thief because the true Jesus is missing from the Bible. He is not there.

Not unexpected. I keep ASKING. Who please asks if a thief should come?

OP is wrong.

Jesus was not a thief; why should he come like a thief?
Jesus never said he would come like a thief.

Please quote from Jesus.

Revelation 16:15 “Look, I come like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake and remains clothed, so as not to go naked and be shamefully exposed.”

Jesus did not write Revelation.
Please quote words of Jesus.

Regards

Are you saying Jesus comes like a thief, to steal what was stolen from him?

It is important to Jesus how WE see his coming. Life means a relationship between the believer and the son of God. He knew wolves would enter the flock and not treat it tenderly. If we look for him among men what we see is not him but the hungry wolves. If you are happy with the image men have made of him then he comes like a thief. A thief uses stealth then disappears with your valuable things. Is there a different definition of thief that I do not know about?

If he had told the truth saying "the Jesus you will learn about is not me" how would that help someone who DOES know the real Jesus?

If ever you study Jesus measure what you hear with this: All scripture is beneficial for learning. What good thing is there to be learned about Jesus hearing he comes like a thief? It means open the door to the REAL Jesus. The one you know is a thief. But the one you know who isn't Jesus isn't real so really didn't steal anything. Things that aren't real cannot steal. Haha. Did you know that?

Jesus didn't write anything, not even the gospels. Please know the Bible to debate it. Thank you.

But here: Revelation 1:1 The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John

Fatalist. Christian. Pacifist.

I understand what you're saying now. You're acknowledging all of the thieves who have come in Jesus' name; the wolves in sheeps clothing..

The Spirit of God is being poured out onto all flesh. If the flesh is against the Spirit, and the Spirit overcomes all flesh- has God stolen from us? In the same way, wickedness is being stolen from Earth, so that the meek have their rest.

Matthew 8

And he having come to the other side, to the region of the Gergesenes, there met him two demoniacs, coming forth out of the tombs, very fierce, so that no one was able to pass over by that way, and lo, they cried out, saying, `What -- to us and to thee, Jesus, Son of God? didst thou come hither, before the time, to afflict us?' And there was far off from them a herd of many swine feeding, and the demons were calling on him, saying, `If thou dost cast us forth, permit us to go away to the herd of the swine;' and he saith to them, 'Go.' And having come forth, they went to the herd of the swine, and lo, the whole herd of the swine rushed down the steep, to the sea, and died in the waters.

I think you read me wrong. I am not acknowledging the false christs. I am saying Jesus knew they would come. Paul warned about them. I am acknowledging the fact Jesus knew the people would BELIEVE them. I don't believe them so I don't acknowledge them. People who believe the false good news are viewed by heaven as thieves believers. They say they believe in Christ but they believe in the replaced christ. TO THEM he is a thief. He is not a thief to me. I said the thief isn't real. False christs are real so they can't be the thief as in "coming like a thief". The thief of "coming like a thief" isn't real. It's a metaphor for Jesus not Jesus.

When I was a Jheovah's Witness parent I would not tell the children anything I did not understand. I did not understand why God would give the kingdom to the governing body of Jehovah's Witnesses and I did not tell my children to obey them. We should obey Jesus Christ. I told them about Jesus.
