Ask the Staff Anything About RF

YoursTrue

Faith-confidence in what we hope for (Hebrews 11)
I apologize if this has been asked, but I can't read all the posts. There are so many of them. I would like to know why I do not have privileges to post in a DIR forum. How do I get privileges to post or ask questions.

Go to your profile and select up to three DIRs you would like to use. For reference, unless you identify with the religion of the DIR you may only ask questions. For questions for people in DIRs to which you are not subscribed, use the interfaith Q&A forum.

Hello and welcome to RF, new members!

This thread is for you to ask the mods anything about RF. This can include questions about the rules, the forum history, or the different forums in general.

A note for all members: Please keep in mind that only staff members may answer questions in this thread. Any answers by non-staff members will be deleted.

Thank you,

Debater Slayer, on behalf of the RF staff.

What is the difference between a "new post" and a "recent post"?

After you read a new post, it becomes a "recent post".
When you select <New Posts>, it will list only posts you haven't yet read, ie, no recent posts.
But select <Recent Posts>, & you'll see both unread (bold titles) posts, & read (recent) posts.

In addition a question: How are "featured" topics selected? If someone of the generous supervisors here like to answer, possible often already asked.

I won't be opening your sound file, but in answer to your question, topics in the 'Religious Topics' forum that reach 20 or more replies become featured.

It soundly askes whether attaching audios as replay would be welcome, since using certain resurces, Brahman SalixIncendium. Not sure if there would be a streaming bbc-code avaliable, to avoid using space, possible not wished.

Attaching zip files such as the one you did is frowned upon, because they potentially contain viruses. A best practice would be to attach a link to the source of the audio so the audio can be listed to externally to the forum and without the fear/risk of viruses.

Appreciation for time and care.

Having trouble understanding how things 'work'. How do I answer a particular thread rather than making a general reply. Had a reply to one thread which came to my Hotmail but can't find it anywhere in the discussion on the forum. Thanks

If you mean reply to an individual quote in a thread, click 'reply' at the right hand side of the post.
